What’s this ‘sweaty’ thing adults are using now? How is a game of FIFA or a goal in a game of FIFA sweaty...?
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Basically running to the byline and cutting it back for an open goal.

Or a City as it’s known in real life.

Jota is a pro at video games won the FIFA tournament and apparently he's really good at Football manager as well no shame in losing to him. Both are really good players if they both weren't quality footballers they would be making money playing in ESports events  ;D

Once he gets over the disappointment am sure Trent will realise that taking Jota to second half golden goal time is massive accomplishment. It was a great final. Gutted for him but pretty pleased with how he handled both situations today.

A better example is when 1on1 with the keeper and you square it to another player to slot into the empty net but yes, most of City's goals could be described as sweaty by these kids. Trent it shut by saying 'a goals a goal' ;D

In this difficult time we really should be rallying behind the young man.

Harsh lesson today.

If we just spends a few more hours a day in front of the TV this offseason and works out his thumbs a little more he will be right back with a chance to win next year.

It can also mean when you're playing against a try hard or the game is really competitive and you have to concentrate so much it sucks the fun out've it. You'll end up in these lobbies or matches in most games that that you play online.

It has been a phrase for about 10 years now when describing goals on Fifa so I doubt it will.

I'd say that the only possible solution is to terminate his contract. I just can't look at him in the same way ever again and not sure I could stomach seeing him in a liverpool shirt ever again for such behaviour :no :no :no :no
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

it's a annoyingly popular term in US sports, that really doesn't need to seep into sports in Europe! Just means a goal that is scored in an important situation.

Thank you. My brain is struggling with it. Some of these types of words, as annoying as they are, can fit the situation they are used for. I just cannot get this one to work in my mind.

Glad I'm not the only one who finds it annoying.

Glad I'm not the only one who finds it annoying.

And the thing with it is, it's used in so many situations:

'that's a clutch goal scored by Firmino'

or

'what a clutch play by Wijnaldum'

or

'Alisson is such a clutch player'

or

'another clutch performance by Liverpool'.

So it gets overused horribly in sport over here (US).

You hear it in golf quite a bit don’t you? A clutch putt usually being one that’s holed from about 6-10 feet away in an important situation. But yeah, definitely not needed in football!

Used clutch for years in gaming, it's not going to bleed out anywhere else. It's defined by winning the round solo when your team isn't in play. ;D

In NBA as well. You see so many of those in the top 10 plays of the week.

I remember often hearing "Michael Jordan just hit a clutched shot at the buzzer!"

not in the UK!

Clutch penalty is one I've never heard thankfully, but then I don't listen to any US football commentators, so that may be why.
