Zimmer and the entire defensive staff should be fired. What the hell were they doing for the last play? Allowing the WR to run into the end zone and turn around and catch without anyone getting near him? Allowing Jared Goff to go 80 yards in a minute before that? Unforgivable.

Gave detroit two timeouts to discuss what they'd seen too - Zimmer is only good at blaming other people for things that are his fault

I was definitely shocked that they went for it. Granted they had a great play called which they just failed to execute. Mark Andrews isn't going to drop too many passes that hit him in the hands.

Data wise you have better chance to win with kicking the PAT I think. Harbaugh said he did it bc he was out of the corners and it was great play call just missed by an inch or so

it's weird though - the way they are going they will never be more than a .500 team. Chase Young's injury is par for the course - who knows if he will return in top form. Heinike is also confusing - should have lost the game  yesterday on another pick - but lucked out.

They are on a 4W streak and can win out to take the division. Last 5 games are all Vs NFC East teams. Then again, all the Cowboys need to do is split the series with Washington and beat on the Giants again so it's all on next week's game, I suppose.

yep, beating Brady, Cam (padding for my list), Wilson and Carr in the process - aside from a return to the trying to force it brainfart at the end last night Heineke seems to have reigned it in to be quite an effective game manager.

Well if that’s the case now they have their franchise QB they better start investing heavily in OL and DL via the draft and free agency over the next 2-3 years then.

They already invest a lot in OL and DL. They are 8 deep on Dl. They drafted a qb who has the arm that should help with the wind. Wind normally not that bad.

Changing topic for a bit, what's RAWK's opinion on Derek Carr, if I may open the question up lads?

Social media within Raider nation has a bit of a war that rivals the vax/anti vax one going round at the moment

Those in favor think he's had horrible receivers, his stats are great, put up with a lot of OC's and frankly a joke of an organisation. That if he were to go elsewhere he'd be a sure hit.

Others think his inconsistent play is part of the problem, that the team can never rely on him to take over a game as it were, that since his injury he's played scared, with too many checkdowns/missing open receivers, and with Gruden now gone -and him supposedly getting veto on playcalling on the field- further highlights it.

I'm sure the truth is somewhere in between all that, but still, which way (from an outsider to the Raider mess) do you lean?

I quite like Carr. I think he's definitely been on the unlucky side given the organisation he's been with. I'd love to see how he'd do on a team built to challenge and I think he could replicate the kind of impact Stafford has had on the Rams.
