I ended up not picking an out and out striker at all. Shearer quid have been up there had undone one. Actually thought about Bobby too having for Salah and Mané already. I just felt a compulsion to try something different for a change!

In the event a game finishing a draw I could ask those users involved to discreetly send me some penalties e.g. left / centre / right to add a bit of spice and reach a conclusion, instead of ending up with a 1v1v1 match up in the next round like the previous draft.

I mentioned this the other day and can't recall any major opposition to it...

Just bringing it up again considering we have a couple of really tight RO16 matches due to finish soon, so this is how we'll resolve it

I won the last draft I did, when I had maybe the 3rd or 4th best team, and go out immediately in this one with the best maybe 2nd best team. RAWK drafting!

Yes to be fair I had a tough match up and the quality was spread nicely across the draft - it’s been one of the most difficult ones I’ve been in and one of the most enjoyable. I’m still thinking of some ideas for drafts whereby it’s going to have barely any of the top players, maybe an uncapped draft, or even a ‘football league’ draft where your drafted player needs to have 50+ league games for a team whilst in the football league. There will still be some good players and big names, but far, far less.

The overall quality of teams in this draft has been really high. I’ve been surprised by how many very strong teams we managed to put out.

Voting has been really hard and occasionally you (I?!) make a decision on a whim that’s a bit of a coin toss. So apologies for anyone who feels a hard done by.

What about another variation of this draft but for current active players only? Could prove to be a decent challenge having to use 176 different teams considering if somebody picks Mo - it wipes out Virg, Trent, Sadio etc

As for Trend, I didn't realise he'd been banned now. I know he and I have clashed in the past, but I'm very sorry to hear that. He's been a key part of the draft community over the last few years and will be greatly missed.
