A bit more east but Auld Shillelagh in Stoke Newington is quite decent. Not huge but can have some good support when LFC plays.

Is this still a thing?

In Stoke Newington/Dalston area tomorrow evening and would like to know any boozers that would show it there.

Afternoon all,

Staying in the Westminster area (not far from Victoria station) this weekend, and in case tickets don't materialise, just wondered where would be good (i.e. will have a decent atmosphere and a few Reds) for the Palace game that's either in and around that area, or easy enough to get to from there?

Ta in advance :wave

Not been in there for a couple of years so hopefully someone else will shout if it’s no longer the case but the Famous 3 Kings in West Kensington used to get quite a lot of Reds. Think a bit of a mixed bag, but it’s London so to be expected! But it’s only 4 stops Westbound on the District Line from Victoria so would at least be easy to get to if you don’t find anywhere else.

One more question, if I may, for those with more knowledge than me...

Is there anywhere close (or at least relatively close) to Selhurst that would (1) be showing the game, and (2) would permit away fans?

Basically i've got a ticket for my wife now, but not for me, so in case I can't find anything in the interim i'm looking for a way of being able to drop her at the ground and then jump in somewhere for the game. I've been told by a Palace supporter friend of mine that it's home only all around that area, but i'm hoping there's somewhere that means I don't have to go all the way back into central London and miss half the match.

I think the Railway Telegraph outside Thornton Heath station might be ok. Don't know the area too well but I had to visit someone in hospital there, popped in for a pint and there were loads of Spurs' fan there (they were playing Palace that night). You could ring and ask.

Cheers mate, just had a look at their website and it seems to suggest that "any" supporters are indeed welcome, and that they show live sport.

Could be the best option.

I couldn't remember the name. While googling to find it for you it seemed to crop up in a few away fan guides including an old RAWK one so you should be ok: https://www.redandwhitekop.com/forum/index.php?topic=308251.0

15min walk from the ground but on the plus side you're right outside the station for when your wife gets out.

Not got a ticket for this one but have been to Palace a few times before, you'll be fine in there; it's an OK pub and tends to be mainly away fans when I've been before.

Likewise mate, my last visit to Selhurst was in 2005 for the 2-1 defeat in the League Cup!

Think i'll head here pre-game anyway, and if I don't find a spare i'll just wait for the wife in there. Thanks for the advice folks, appreciate it  :wave

I was thinking of going to The Spread Eagle off Oxford Street - mainly because it’s central, been mentioned on here a few times and I’ve never been before.

The spread eagle looks amazing but is always absolutely rammed so you would need to get there early, for the city games ended up watching in Bonds which is just round the corner and was mostly reds and decent atmosphere.

11st bar in the East Village.

The bars typically opens 60-90 minutes prior to each game. Anyone can come to the bar, but if you are under 21, you must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. For big games, we would always recommend getting to the bar as early as possible to gain entry, especially in the 11th Street.

I’m not local to NY but I watched a match in Carraghers when I was there, think it’s on West 39th St. decent enough atmosphere. actually now I think about it, it was the 2-2 draw v WBA after Origi’s last min equaliser

Giant LED screen, stadium seating, two beers and food stalls to purchase food. £15.

So ended up watching it in the Euston Flyer. Decent little boozer, plenty of screens. Managed to get a seat once the Arse/Spurs game was finished. Good location, just a short walk from Euston. Would recommend.

Down in London for a few days with work and am desperately trying to get a ticket for the West Ham match, but it’s looking unlikely.

Staying in central London so looking for a pub as a fall back. Is the spread eagle off oxford street a good place to go for a Liverpool pub to watch the match?
