So his only mistake was picking the wrong partner, was it?

I assume he’s talking about Gillett there.

The real “wrong partner” for him was our club, and specifically our fan-base.
We’re not just some group of sheep, ready to be led around by the nose and do nothing more than wave a different colour of scarf at you.

And he blames RBS for not refinancing - Sorry cowboy, but WE the fans - and in particular, a good number right here on this forum - were the ones who applied enough pressure to RBS, any other bank you went to and to the sponsors directly, that they withdrew their financial support from the pair of you.

Shame you didn’t lose everything, but £200m (if true, which I doubt) is a good start.

Do you still follow the fortunes of the club?

A little bit, and with mixed feelings. I'd like to have been the half owner when it was worth $3bn but I'm not.

He clearly always had the club's best interests at heart.

Was kinda hoping this wouldn’t even be mentioned on here, doesn’t deserve the bandwidth. And not to mention those c*nts giving him any sort of platform.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

They should try buying Chelsea. It's in London, they can charge much higher ticket prices, the Russian clearly wants rid.

Very easy to say 'fuck off' and boo hoo, wanker etc and they would be entirely justified at every single level.

That being said. You can imagine some alternate universe out there where RBS re-financed the loan, we (and by we I mean SOS and the fan base) didn't mobilise enough and we kept plodding along in an era of Billion pound TV deals and sponsorship deals etc.

When you consider how much trouble Man U, Arsenal and Newcastle fans are having with their owners...

There was a real sliding doors moment in our clubs history with that ruling outside the High Court back in October 2010.

A moment that could have led us down a path of Anfield being a rubble patch, drifting from managers in the league of Hodgson, Allerdyce, Moyes etc, drifting towards Administration.

Let this be a moment to remind you how things were and how things could have been...

Ridiculous to blame RBS. The reason they wouldn't refinance was the club was going to the wall. No other bank or investor would take them on either.

Seeing Justice Floyd f*ck them two off back to the US was one of the best non-footballing moments I've had in football. They set this club back 10 years and nearly turned us into Leeds.

Blood runs cold thinking of where we'd be if those pair of chancing c*nts were still in charge, with the club wheezing along on life support as they bleed us dry.

No surprise him and his son are tied up with a human shitstain conman like Trump, absolute parasites always trying to cheat an unearned profit out of some poor fucker.

Delusional prick.

It must be a dagger to his heart seeing what FSG have accomplished especially off the pitch with the turnover, Anfield expansion and commercially.

We would be like Leeds or Forest right now if RBS and the other banks hadn't called in those loans.

All Moores and Parry had to do was just google Tom Hicks and they would have seen what he did on his first foray into football with Corinthians in Brazil and they wouldn't have sold the club to him.
"Since its purchase by the sheikh of Abu Dhabi, Manchester City has managed to cheat its way into the top echelon of European football and create a global, immensely profitable football empire, ignoring rules along the way. The club's newfound glory is rooted in lies."

He seems to blame everyone but himself.

Was his son who had it hard the bloke who told a fan to 'blow me, fuck face' - or something along those lines?

To be honest it also seems yet another fluff PR piece by his mates in the media (hello Rupert) again.

Credit SOS and the fans too - not enough credit given to them - especially to SOS, who for some people on here love to bash on more than they did G&H.

Not gonna read this interview and give him any more attention than he deserves. Not interested in whatever he has to say. Would rather reflect about how I felt about the club’s health back in 2010 and compare it to how I feel about it now.

European champions. Top of the league. Unbeaten. Best manager in the world. Several of the best players in the world. Stadium being expanded. Training grounds being developed.

Abu Dhabi and Everton can probably add the whole high court saga to the list of conspiracies that were put into place to help Liverpool. We were clearly playing the long long game however.
