:lmao :lmao :lmao :lmao

Who didn't see that coming?

If it was going to happen, I was hoping it'd be Taylor as I like him as a player, but just the Belli-bomb, Taylor single and steal, and Betts double.

Nothing more Braves than that.

David Carpenter against Juan Uribe.
Will Smith against Will Smith.
Chris Martin against Cody Bellinger.
Luke Jackson against Cody Bellinger.

Serve 'em up boys!  ::)

Bullpen game tomorrow against Urias....

Well, our hopes rest on you, Max.  Please pitch the game of your life Game 5 to get the Braves the lead going back to Atlanta.

Ok, doomer out of the way there.  What a game 4 from the Braves.  Let's see if Fried and the boys can close it out in LA.

Don’t think anyone predicted the Braves, if you did I apologise. They’re not over the line yet but I think 90% of the time you lead 3-1 you win. That’s the stat I saw anyways.

The Red Sox are not out of this yet. They need a couple of hot games. Not impossible for them.

No the Dodgers are really done this time, and full credit to the Braves. Even the Braves can't miss this one  ;D

Seriously, if the Braves do go through I wish they go all the way.

Dodgers' bats went cold at the wrong time, Muncy gone, Turners both are off and Belli coming back into it but probably too late, only Mookie and maybe Seager showed some life.

In all, they just haven't done enough and the beauty of a 7 game series is you can't say the other team snuck by, you get beat by the other team 4 times you say fair do's.

Oh and fuck Doc Roberts, that arsehole wants binning. Started Urias needlessly in Game 2 and then he comes out tired.

I know the front office like their analytics, just think this idiot over-thinks even the most straight forward decisions and we frankly got away with it last year.

Too true, not to mention the Superbowl   ;D   but no, in all honesty I think last night I saw 'defeat' in this Dodger team.

I think they just saw it as one injury too much (Turner now done for the season with the hamstring), one last push too far and they seemed like they're ready for the offseason. They've simply run out of ideas.

The Braves have also been really good, so credit to them.

First pennant since 99!

The Dodgers certainly made the Braves work for it even down 2-0 and 3-1.

That 7th inning was the chance for the Dodgers.  Luke Jackson against Taylor (double off the wall), Bellinger (4 pitch walk), and Pollock (RBI double) was absolutely painful.  Matzek was a wizard.

Eddie Rosario MVP as he should be.  Absolutely outstanding.

Now onto the Astros.  They want revenge for those losses back in the Maddux-Glavine-Smoltz era, but I want revenge for 2005!

Almost sporting criminality the Braves only have 1 WS when they had that rotation, and both the Jones's who were monster hitters from the 90's early 00's.

Fuck the Astros, i don't think they'll have many rooting for them outside Houston.

Braves win 6-2 but lose Charlie Morton for the rest of the WS

Gives them a chance to win at home which is all you can ask for at this stage

Devastated.

I cashed my bet one pitch too soon

2 out in the 8th

I had Atlanta -1 and they had one out left. Things could of change in the bottom of the ninth if they had got there.

One pitch cost me aud 700

Bullpen game out of necessity (if only Morton didn’t get hurt) and the Astros are finally on it now.

I wonder if there was any thought to use Max Fried on short rest after a 4-0 lead to try to close it here.

We’ll have Fried and Anderson ready for Game 6 and Game 7 but not often you get a 4-0 lead with a chance to win it all.

Snitker saving his pitchers for Game 6 works out beautifully.  Fried, Matzek, and Smith dominated the Astros lineup.

Amazing.

Fantastic by the Braves, great to see them beat that stain of a baseball team.

Good to see the great work over the last 4-5 years paying off finally for them.

Don't even necessarily have to look that far back - FiveThirtyEight gave them a 3% shot (joint-10th favourites) at the start of August, when they weren't even favourites for the NL East. My Mets are always gonna Mets though, so...

Jays didn't waste any time; Berrios got 131 million bucks over 7 years. Love this deal; he's been rock solid throughout his time in the majors and could still be better yet. Less than 20m a year for a guy that is probably going to be an all-star every year he's healthy is pretty good these days.

Correa wanted a crazy Shortstop contract like Seager and Lindor, 10 years $300 million plus.

Free Agent Seager beat him to the punch, Correa probably regrets having the Astros play him like a fiddle the last 12 months with low ball counter offers while Seager signed his deal right after the World Series ended,.

Correa should fire his Agent.

I thought Baseball mega contracts were normalising after Covid, but once again the Texas Rangers give a stupid overpayed contract out to a Shortstop especially a injury prone one who's numbers have declined that fucks up the equilibrium, that contract is going to age badly.

Jays are really going it for. Really love the Chapman trade. His offense has declined but he's maybe the premier defensive third baseman and that makes life a lot easier when we've Guerrero playing first. Talk of potentially trading for Jose Ramirez to play second but I'm not keen to see us lose a prospect like Manoah, Pearson or Martinez to make it happen.
