I hope they were waiting for the season to end.

I always found it weird that players negotiate contracts when the season is ongoing.

From what I have heard, the club made an offer early in the season. Can is essentially happy with the terms but was out of the side and wanted some assurance he would be involved more. Then he had a run of poor form due to carrying the injury.   His stock should be very high at the moment and I don't think there's many better options for him just now. I would not be surprised if we hear something soon.

With two years to go on his contract his future should be resolved very soon. If he doesn't want to sign we should buy his replacement and then sell Emre till September. There's no point allowing him to run the contract down and then get only pittance for him. Doubt Can would want to run the contract down himself anyway.

It'd be really unfortunate if he doesn't want to sign because the less work we have to do in the market this summer the better for us.

Looks like it is so. We should have dealt with that last summer, we are now in terrible position as all the leverage is now on his side.

This might be a tough one as his camp already proved to be complicated negotiators as we've seen with his dubious release clause when we've got him in the first place.

Just bad design, autoplaying (and irrelevant) videos, sooooo slow to load, horrible pop-ups, then it has the nerve to ask you to turn off ad-blockers even though it's obviously riddled with netpox. It's absolute shite. They could do a better job getting a 15 year old in using wordpress or squarespace or something.

I try to avoid it, so whenever I do end up clicking through to it, it shocks me again just how fucking atrocious the thing is.

Fair enough! I've seen worse but yeah defo it's not technically great...

Nice to see Can getting some props from the likes of Hector and other German internationals. Although it's almost like they know he's about to sign his contract and are helping him out

As we know, very talented but also very popular guy.

Definitely a good squad player, our bench was very weak last season so having the likes of Emre can't be a bad thing
And on the 6th day he created the Spion Kop, and then he rested.

I'd be disappointed considering how he stepped up when we needed it andhow vocal he is on field that he doesn't get a chance a being captain. For me Henderson really needs to up his game, whereas Can seems to have the ability, the instinct to step up when needed and comes across a natural leader. He really comes across as a natural Captain for me, Henderson on the other hand battling injuries and what I perceive as performance s not getting of a Liverpool captain leads me to like the idea of Can being captain.Big season for Hendo for mine.

I use UBlock Origin (instead of AdBlock) and Blur.
UBlock is far, far more effective than AdBlock, especially since it does not have a commercial whitelist that Adblock has.
Blur blocks scripts, trackers and web beacons, so you are invisible on most sites. If you checked the Brightcove Player script, the videos on Trinity sites (Echo, Mirror, etc.) are disabled.

Using these two extensions have made my browsing experience so much better (and perceptibly faster, as well).
