It is with deep regret that we have had to cancel this year’s Anne Williams Golf Day. This decision, which is completely out of our hands is due to the current COVID-19 pandemic with the safety and wellbeing of all players, participants and staff at Huyton & Prescot in mind. Dear Ste, Andy, Gaz & Sean,
I hope this email finds you and all your family well during these difficult times.
It is with great regret I am emailing you regarding the Anne Williams Golf Day 2020 due to be played at Huyton & Prescot Golf Club on Friday 21st August, unfortunately due to COVID 19 and the strict guidelines put in place by England Golf and the Government that the club are operating under it would be impossible to host your annual memorial tournament.
I understand this will be extremely frustrating and I know how much work goes on behind the scenes hosting such a large, successful event as the Anne Williams Memorial Golf Day but the safety of your guests and the club staff must come first.
I am sure the 2021 Anne Williams Golf Day on Friday 2nd July 2021 will be a huge success and a day to remember as always and we look forward to continuing our strong relationship built up over the past 8 years with you, your team and all the players.
We hope you and all your team understand this decision was not taken lightly and we look forward to seeing you all safe and well in the future.

Plans were going well to host the event in the best and safest way possible but we have to respect the decision from the Clubs Council and Management Team.
Next year’s event is scheduled for Friday 2nd July 2021.
With the support of our ambassador we are planning to make a donation to our chosen charity, Fans Supporting Foodbanks. However, if any players or hole sponsors would like their money back please contact us for full refund.
We are sorry for this news with the event only 5 weeks away but I’m sure we can all appreciate these are troublesome and uncertain times.
In the meantime take care and stay safe. We’ll be in touch with details for next year’s event that will no doubt be one to remember.

Due to Coronavirus and government guidelines this years event will be a golf day only
Normally we have a meal, presentation and good old sing song with Jamie Webster but the important thing is the event goes ahead.
This year it will be held on 21st August at Huyton and Prescott Golf Club and the beneficiaries will be Fans Supporting FoodBanks
