depends on the champagne, bollinger is deffo Tory champagne, likes of Moët are fine (if you have to do that, I’m more red wine)

I’m more red wine as well, but we’ve got grey carpets in the living room and I’ll get fucking murder when I inevitably spill it.

Ale for the match, champagne for the celebration.

good point on spilling it, absolute bastard to clean up a spill, could try some portuguese Vinho verde - like white wine but a little bit of fizz, very nice for hot days

We've just had a new grey carpet fitted this week, I'm banned from drinking red in the living room now.

Not a fan of champagne, even the posh stuff. Had a glass once that cost £35 and it was shit.

Jack Daniels with Jack Daniels cider as a mixer will be drink of choice when we win it, followed by a Baileys.

Right with you on that, except there will be no mixer... ;)

A bit of water added to some whiskeys can bring out more flavour.

If we do win the title then it's hard to see how some Evertonians can even cope.

They've publically stated again and again that if the league kicks off and Everton are involved that they are 'done with football' and 'will never go again' and 'football is dead' and the like.

So. Let's say we win it somehow and somehow get magically awarded 6 undeserved Redshite points...

.. will they stay true to their word? If they are 'done with football' then surely they won't care any more and will let all the grief and anguish go?

As I've said I know plenty of sound Blues that while not jumping with joy at us winning it, accept that we've had an amazing season and deserve it. When (if?) we win it then they'll shrug and support their team when the next season starts.

These other sad cases - not sure how they'll react?

FSG has announced pay cuts for its Red Sox staff:

Quote
Sox employees making $50,000 or more but under $100,000 are receiving 20 percent cuts. The pay of employees making more than $100,000 but less than $500,000 is being cut by 25 percent, while those making over $500,000 will see cuts of 30 percent.

The cuts came with a promise that the team would not institute furloughs or layoffs through September for business-side employees and through October for baseball operations staff.

Rules, Rescheduled Games and a Covenant Worth Preserving

The Premier League has finally resisted the temptation to pretend the 2019-20 season never happened. Doing so would have ruptured the bond between fans and the sport, perhaps forever.

Years ago (probably around 2001) I acquired one from a bar in Liverpool. I cannot for the life of me remember which one. Unfortunately it inexplicably smashed into many pieces sometime before 2015 when I placed it on a table.

If it was Everton top of the league I'm sure they'd be saying the same.

When your opinions are formed entirely of hatred and bitterness (rather than any point of principle) then you're at the level of an ardent Trump fan. You're just brainwashed. There's no point of principle.

Even if it was City 25 points clear they wouldn't care less if the league started or not.

Don't want Boro going back up, The Riverside is a irritating bogey ground, we've had some gut wrenching results there.

Just buy a glass on Amazon for £3.99.
