I swear Steve Bruce's head just gets bigger all the time.  He looks like he's had an allergic reaction to something today, all swollen and even redder than usual:

Managers who have won fewer than three European Cups: Ferguson, Mourinho, Guardiola, Saachi, Hiddink, Hitzfeld, Clough, Happel, Trapattoni, Cruyff, Michels, Lobanovsky, Capello, and many more.
Managers who have won three or more European Cups: Bob Paisley

Arsenal have zero pace.
No, jazz. You fear jazz. You fear the lack of rules, the lack of boundaries. Oh look, it's a fence. But, no, it's soft.

Do you think Arsenal would get something if City went down to 10? Or would it need to be 9?

They're not going to get anything. The best they can hope for is to keep the score under 3-0.

Arsenal are hopeless. Have they even had a shot on goal?

Biggest chance they had was Girouds strike from the middle of the pitch.

Whatever Arsenal's "plan" has been these last few years... it's coming to an end. It can't work anymore, they can't just keep scraping fourth every year and settling for an insipid run in the CL because eventually it's going to fall apart. Properly fall apart. And I think it's happening now.

They need a serious shake-up. Things could go bad for them quickly.

People have been saying this for 5 years...

Barring a sending off or two there's no way Arsenal are getting anything from this game. They know it too, just killing time until the inevitable defeat.

But he plays leftback doesn't he?

That's Walcott.

13mins - Bournemouth have gone home. Utd kicked off anyway. Still 0-0 as Smalling passes it back to De Gea.

Everton will give them a better game at Goodison surely than what Arsenal is giving them here. I think there's hope in that.

My thoughts exactly.

To be fair he's been the ONLY arsenal player trying to run forwards with the ball, all the others are just playing their usual futile tippy-tappy and backwards passes to mertesacker/vermaelen to eventually lump it forward

Yeah credit I suppose for at least trying to make something happen. Mind you, Charlie Adam used to do that for us...

Just had a look at Arsenal's bench to see who could possibly change the game for them, who the fuck is Bellerin?! For a club that's been in the CL for such a long time, their depth is shocking.

Aspas or Giroud? Genuine question.

Titi Camara.

He was actually pretty damn good for a while. One of Ged's big mysteries for me how badly he fell off.

Who's worse, Soldado or Giroud? Fuck me, Arsenal don't even look like creating anything, let alone scoring. The title is City's to lose honestly.
One has two open play goals this season, one has twelve.

Arsenal get the ball with 2 minutes left in the half and pass it back and forth getting nowhere near the Man City box. They need some penetration. Useless.

Looking at this game, we were idiots to play with 3 centre backs (against Arsenal away) to cover the least effective player on the pitch (Giroud if anyone is wondering).

If they win their game in hand they are 4 points ahead, so we need to beat them and then they need to draw another one somewhere else.

No. That deadline has passed.
But if Kompany gets 2 yellows before or on our game he misses two matches.

Arsenal fans must feel slightly unlucky after the goal today as well as the last swansea goal... you make you're own luck though, and the results were deserved.

City haven't really had that many good chances either but they're easily in control here. Arsenal looks toothless up front, need a red or a wondergoal

Take of Giroud who is currently a waste and play OX either in front or behind Podolski.

really? more of a waste than podolski?! dont know how he escapes ciriticism. he's only getting a game because he's a recognised senior player. any young wide player would contribute more than he has. surely gnabry would be worth a punt
