My.comments (which I tried to make constructive) were passed up the line at the club and the Supporter Liaison Officer rang me this afternoon.
She was very open to ideas and would welcome other comments or ideas from people who went.
The club were only told about the toilet searches on Monday at a meeting they have with the host club. They questioned it a lot and tried to talk Atleti out of it but they were adamant it was necessary
She said Merseyside Police said they'd tweet it and the club retweeted it but accepted that most would not be checking twitter pre-match in case there was news. And besides you'd have to wade through all the other tweets too about Madrid weather, team news, etc. I suggested maybe sending it from a separate account (eg @LFCEuroAways) so pepole knew to check that if they wanted to late on.
She said they have a blog to share news of this type but I had never heard if it. I do usually read the info the club provides but accepted I could have missed it.
She said there WERE LFC stewards on the concourse but we didn't see any, and that they were outside too,:although we couldn't see any when the Police blocked our path down.
If anyone has further comments she'd like to hear them. Constructive obviously.
Nice of her to ring me though, even if the fire alarm did sound during the call and I had to go out without my coat
