Chris's seems to be the winner here. Bit of trivia - Robbie Fowler's cousin used to work in there. Dunno if he still does as I haven't been in there for a while.

Did anyone eat those kebebs in the marquee/airport in Istanbul after the final? i was so pissed i ate about 5 of them. I was fucking eatin the bastards quicker than the guy could cut the slices of meat off the slab. Anyway, i got so ill from it i was puking my guts up for days, then weeks, then months. Turns out i got a hiatus hernia from being so bloody ill. Now i'm not meant to drink or smoke ever again.  :'(

Not put me off my kebabs though. Chris's is a mighty fine slab of horse meat  :lickin

I had one of them for breakfast the next morning. Surprisingly I had no ill effects even though they were luke warm and had been spinning all night.

Must have been a bad pint mate  ;)

Yeah more or less facing the Holt, the 'new' chippy just further up, the Ying Sang I think, does a great sausage dinner, three sausages an all.

Harry's in Wavertree is OK, but never found anything near a good chippy for the year I was in Wavertree.

Best chippy for me is either Mike's Chippy in Crosby, or Chung Fad in Waterloo.

Where in Liverpool can I get mushy peas? Actual mushy peas that are...well...mushy? Not just processed garden peas from a tin, heated up and stuck on my dinner.

If you go to the match at home regularly, or the next time you do go.. look out for the chippy called Moonlight, it's fucking delicious.. or if you walk along Walton Breck from the Cabbage then go to Happy Days, not a very inventive Chinese name but they are the two nicest chippies around the Anfield area, right by my house as well. :wave

Not really a big fan of any of the Chippys around the ground as the food always seems rushed, but Moonlight is not bad. Might be a lot better when the match is not on, but then I don't have any other reason to go down Anfield. :wave

It used to be called Shun Kin? Just in case we're thinking of a different one. But when the match isn't on, most of the chippies food is really nice. The donner meat from Moonlight is dead nice and cut up small, but from other chippy's it's always greasy. And the pizza's from there and burgers are delicious. If you happen to be going along Breckfield Road North, which is miles away from the ground but they do dead nice chips and burgers and it's called Istanbul. ;D

For me the best is Chris's on Rose Lane

One of my personal favourites too, always in there after a tipple or 5 from the social club / a visit to the CarniBar

Best chippy for me would probably Harrys by the Picton Clock

Not bad, does me for my Wavertree pub crawling!!

I know a chippy on Holt Road called the Golden Rainbow-
Bottom of Adelaide road.

Ahhhh memories!! I used to live on Adelaide, still go there now when am round at me mates place :)

One i'd like to give special mention to was the former Harrys' on Heath Road in Garston.... always had a chippy from there during my little stint living in Halewood (yes, Halewood!)

BUT MY VOTE......

Childwall Fiveways

Without a shadow of a doubt, the best Fish & Chips going, plus the Chicken Fried Rice is always worth a go with a classy carton of curry :)

(This has got me mouth watering now!!)  :thumbup :wellin
