Stars Damian Lewis and Paul Giamatti.

Lewis plays a billionaire hedge fund manager who is being pursued by Giamatti, a state prosecutor who is trying to send him down for improper trading.

As an added twist, Giamatti's wife (Maggie Siff) works for Lewis' firm as an in-house psychologist.

Started a bit slow but has really picked up. The episode where they try to strike a plea deal is quite intense.

Anyone else watching this?

Had a bit of interest in it when started but it has gotten worse with every episode, Lewis tries to keep it honest but I don't understand the needless posturing and tough talk from half of the characters. Giamatti especially, tries to chew every scene and every line, used to be a fan but he is beginning to really annoy me now.

3 stars out of 5 for me, barely.

I'm watching it. It's not great, but I guess it's entertaining. Giamatti overacts the hell out of it which is thoroughly enjoyable. Really like David Costabile in it. Not as great as his work in Flight of the Conchords, but I suppose Michelangelo only painted one Sistine Chapel.

Finished this last night.  It was enjoyable, I liked how they finished the season though with both of them together.  It's amazing how you can quickly dislike a character - too many egos getting in the way but probably like that in real life too.

Finished the 1st series last night. Good enough to keep watching but that's as far as I would go describing it. Both leads are good enough but totally spot on about Giamatti overacting a lot of times.

Wendy's eyes though.

Was ill over the weekend so got through 10 episodes! The first half or so I absolutely loved, but have to say the quality was noticeably getting worse with each episode to the point that by episode 10 (funeral episode) I was quite pissed off. Not only was it a weird, disjointed episode, but a great show would not make you think the anti-hero lead is a complete piece of shit as early as the first season.

I agree about Giamatti's overacting too.

Overall though it's a good show, not a great one, but one I'll keep watching for sure.

It's been fantastic this season. The secondary cast are all pretty much nobodies but they're all fantastic.

This series has ramped up a bit

One thing that gets on my nerves a bit is the constant analogy/metaphor/parable telling

every episode at least 3 characters tell a story 'When I was a boy, there was this pond at the end of my street.....' or 'A old man is sitting under a lemon tree.....'

One episode behind. I'm not watching it for the subtle nuanced acting nor the plot for that matter. And yet it's very watchable and keeps drawing you in.

Find it a bit of a rollercoaster in terms of who you are rooting for. Most of the time its Axe, I want him to get away with it as I don't like Rhodes and some of the stunts he pulls but then something changes and you find yourself wanting Rhodes to do well.

Don't like Axe's wife but like Wendy. Like Taylor.

Going to be an interesting finale next week

I think that's the point of the show. I'm probably rooting for Chuck but mostly I just hope Mafee ends up safe and well.

Caught up with this over the weekend.  What a great season this was.
One of the things they got right this season is the element of fun. Last season was a bit po-faced at times; this year they let Wags off the leash, tried to get Axe to buy the New York Jets (even if they couldn't use the name), and generally indulged itself. They also gave us the most interesting new character in a tv show in quite some time in Taylor.

And then they serve up a beautiful caper that capped everything quite beautifully.
