i've a couple of mates who are occasional contributors but i detest alan davies - and his hatred of scousers - so can't bring myself to listen

thought this was some type of culinary thread and been avoiding it like the plague but I was hungry last night - decent chin wag - good stuff and nice to hear some well argued points about the club from folks that obviously know their stuff

only listened to the last one but one idea would be to set up a debate - for and against type of thing for some of the contentious stuff around the club maybe  -

oh and of course give everyone a buzzer with a different noise - or in one particular case just a bleep machine...........

I listen to 12-15 hours of podcasts per week; most of those are based around various sporting teams I support equally as passionately as LFC from around the world.  I've done this for a number of years so feel that I have a good idea of the recipe of a quality podcast.

Happy to say that TAW is up there with some of the best semi-professional podcasts out there, even those that have been doing it for years.  It takes me a while to work through all those weekly podcasts but TAW is always listened to by the end of the day it is released.

You should be proud of what you have achieved, it's not as easy as you make it appear.  Keep up the good work.

I think it's a fantastic podcast.

Liverpool based, but discussing the weeks issues with (let's be honest) far more searching and thoughtful analysis than would ever find on skysports or the like.

Love it.

So many of these football podcasts think they have to be funny and full of gags or cheap jokes. TAW has its funny moments but they try and stay on topic with genuine insight.
Well, this piece is called "Lick My Love Pump".

Your first proper challenge today I'd say. It's easy to do a podcast when you're winning. It's only when the chips are down that you see the true colours of an individual. Good luck!

Podcast is up, as is a new piece from The Guardian's Sachin Nakrani, who gives his side of the story to the Kenny piece. It is honest and, at the very least, he should be applauded for that.

The Anfield Wrap was always set up so people could say what they wanted to say, how they wanted to say it. Sachin has done exactly that. There's always two sides to a story, so check it out.

Sachin basically outs himself as someone who shouldn't really be writing professionally about football. Hats off for his honesty, but where has he been? Living in a cave?

Do you know what, I respect people who make mistakes and own up to them, don't often see it and for a journalist to be so honest is admirable but how much of the press pack share his view that Dalglish is a nice old fella, those who saw him first time around know he's one ruthless bastard on and off the pitch, as was touched on in the podcast, he can be one nasty bastard when he wants to.

I spent yesterday afternoon listening to the last two podcasts. Very enjoyable couple of hours.
I also just read Sachin's piece, but whilst his honesty is admirable as people have said, his response isn't.

I'm a bit of a podcast fanatic. I listen to podccasts all week in worrk because its basically just me and hundreds of spreadsheets and sql scripts.

I can say with no bias that this stands up to some of the very best.

Its already overtaken he guardian podcast as the 'must hear' footy podcast of the week.

Great stuff fellas.

I too thought the podcast was terrific. It's getting better each week.

But I don't get the fury with Sachin - or the disappointment with his response. Some fans wouldn't be satisfied with footy journalists unless they were our delegates.

It comes up on that New & Noteworthy page on the phone as well.

I've been happy with this so far, it's been great. I hardly watch any telly but I've got enough time to watch a bit more but tv quality is crap. With the podcast it's a worthwhile hour to listen to by local lads or other Reds even and you can guarantee usually that one or two are saying what you're thinking.

I've just listened to the latest podcast and  thought Rory Smith's explanation was very interesting. I'm not anti journo in any shape or form (not the decent ones at least)  but I did think Sachin's comments about Kenny's mental health overstepped the mark and were totally uncalled for.

Haven't read the incriminating article in the first place re: Sachin.

Fair play to him for at least attempting to explain though. Wonder when Lawro'll take up the offer to do the same?

The stuff about the Independent article was spot on. I read it last night and it was straight off a manc blog. Never seen such an obvious trolling attempt in a "respectable" paper.

I don't get the fuss either, he's only said Kenny can't hack managing Liverpool after our first loss of the season, in pretty much the same way he couldn't hack it when he left the first time round
If you can't trust Kenny, you need to find another club, seriously.
