How about a Touro spin on the Shelvey one? Kolo has clearly seen the funny side of it...

As I read it I was trying to put it to music.

What wanker gets a tattoo of a player after 3 games? Let alone a tattoo of a footballer's name, period.
If it acts like a cock and a banner appears on the kop with its name written down the shaft of a cock, it probably is...

After that tattoo, I reckon we need a drawn-out chant of "Touro-ooh! Tour-o-ohhh!" :)

What a great interview. I dont think I've ever seen a player come in, settle in and 'get' the club as quick as he has.

what does that even mean? He 'gets' the club? What by saying team spirit is a vital component to a successful season? That's not a trait unique to our club.

It may not be a unique trait but its something that is held in a higher regard here than most other clubs.

For a new player to come in and handle quite a lot of the media commitments is something that is not something I've really seen

What he gets is that he's really filling Carragher's boots, which is what they would've asked of him from the get go, and which requires that he plays with immense responsibility and leadership. We shouldn't really have needed Carragher last season, but we didn't have anyone else in defense with organisational abilities and leadership qualities. I really like Agger, and think he will be a good vice captain, but we know what his strengths are - much like we know what Gerrards are. Lead by example, blah blah. But yeah, we need the Toures and the Carraghers.

Wonder if we'll see him at RB while Johnson's out. Doesn't offer anything less than Wisdom  going forward but offers a lot more defensively (with no disrespect to Andre)

I think that's the call I'd make too. Skrtel and Agger deserve to keep their places after the Man U game and I'm sure Kolo's played right-back on a number of occasions.

Was thinking the same. I actually think he'd be quite a bit better going forward than Andre as well (no disrespect). Having said that he'd probably have to pick his moments a bit better what with being 32 and coming back from a groin strain etc. Hopefully his experience will help him with that.

I'd only risk him there if he was truly at 100% though, and the medical team say chances of recurrence of the injury are really low.

love the sheer enthusiasm toure shows. he's clearly enjoying himself and is probably a big reason for the "family" atmosphere the team is exemplifying. The happiness, passion and experience he brings on a daily basis are invaluable for this young team.

also love his take on suarez: "he's a Killa!"  8)

Great interview. Such a likeable guy, and so positive. He looks like a real winner and that's what we need here, enthusiasm and a winning mentality!
One day, people will hopefully look back and say "I was there son. I was there the year that Spurs won nothing again."

He goes straight back into the team for me.  Sakho will have to earn his place.  Toure has been our best defender so far this season.  I hope he keeps it up.

For me by far our best player today, you can see why he has two league medals with two different clubs, the man is a winner.

You can certainly see why he's a PL winner. This early on in the season, he knows how important every point is, even if most of our players didn't look like they did. And he fought hard for it. He fought to try and lift the team. And it was this mentality why I thought he'd be an upgrade on Carra.

We need more players like him and Suarez when it comes to that mentality.
