After the last 5 years of Serie A dross I didn't think I'd be saying this but I hope we avoid the Italian teams from Pot 2, the others in there are much of a muchness.

Whoever we end up getting though, bring it on.  The bigger they are the less likely they are to encamp their own penalty area and the more likely we are to shred them to pieces.

I like all the chestthumping "no one will want to draw us" line and it's true, but I would have preferred Pot 2 just because I'd have liked us to sail serenely through, maybe have qualified after the first four group games (plus we have a run of hard league fixtures for the first couple of group games, I think) and played a couple of kids in the last match or two. We still could though, as there are only a few teams in Pot 2 who could/should give us problems (famous last words!) and we probably deserve a hard group after getting pretty much the easiest we could have hoped for last year.

Looking forward to the draw. Intrigued to see which one of the big boys we get from Pot 1.

difference can be a group of PSG, us, Valencia and inter with us in pot 2 or PSG, Porto, us and inter in pot 3 - just depends how the draw goes, only certainty is man united have something like Lokomotiv, plzen and porto

It's not chest thumping to say you don't care who we get in the draw.  Just an acknowledgement that unless it was possible to be in a group with 3 other pot 1 teams there's no reason we shouldn't be advancing regardless.  We have a big squad now, knock on wood, and we've been building towards this.  Trust in the process and let's have fun with it.

to be honest the weeks we have other CL teams in the league I hope our surrounding CL fixture is easy and theirs isn’t (eg spurs have real at home but we have aek away)

We are capable of beating every team in it but I fail to see why anyone would want us to face good teams at this stage. Draw all the shite, get qualification wrapped up with something in hand and keep key players fresh.
