My first memory of the Reds. My old man called me in from the street to watch coverage on Grandstand or World of Sport, not sure which. If I'm honest I wasn't all that aware of what we'd won and I was nearly 9 years old, incredible really but in those days there wasn't the blanket coverage there is now so unless you'd been to a few games a lot of it passed you by.

Forward it to 1 hr 27 or something, if you don't fancy watching it for the nth time like I've done. If anyone can find the post match interview with Shanks and the players... that would be great. Can't find it.

I'm sure it aint normal that a 34 year old bloke from London gets moved to tears by this stuff every time.

Thank you for our club Mr Shankly.
If my assistant had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty and sent off goalkeeper Patr Cheh. he beeped me to signal the foul. The noise from the crowd  stopped me hearing it, I have been involved at places like Barcelona, Ibrox, Old Trafford, Arsenal, but I've never in my life been involved in such an atmosphere. IT WAS INCREDIBLE

1975 STV interview. 20 minutes of him responding to questions, and evading the ones he clearly doesn't want to answer (such as the subject of Lou Macari). Passion for football is just amazing.
