Done.
When your Mum used to pick you up from school and you'd run out and be like 'Mummy I got 9/10 in the spelling test today', would she go 'phenomenal, son'.

Cos if she did she's a stupid fuck.

I remember the boys pen being higher up tucked up in the corner. This looks more like a view from the Kop/ Main Stand junction.

I'm pretty intrigued now. Not sure why there would be a queue inside the ground for match tickets. Certainly looks 30's early 40's. Some sort of volunteer enlistment drive? Dunno. I'm drunk from the game. Oh I got it, it's the 1936 overcoat and pipe parade.

There would be more litter after a game. It's a queue for cup tickets, I'd say early to mid Fifties judging by the number of hats

I was thinking along those lines, enlisting for the Forces maybe?

I've no idea, but I hope that it's the Kop emptying (in a very orderly fashion) post match, because I'm flicking my nipples to the fact that there's a broad in the front, representing the ladies, 40's style.

Mate, as a kid I queued for tickets in Anfield. If my memory serves me well they used to open the gates to let you into the ground and you bought your ticket at the turnstile on the way out, maybe it stopped queueing in the streets around the ground. I've got to admit I also remember queueing along Anfield Road and down Arkles Lane as well.

Well before that mate, in 73 the safety barriers were white and I think in different positions.

You sure?

Don't know where Alloy got the picture from, but it's in this 'Nostalgia' collection on the Echo website. There's one of Shankly on the Kop with exactly the same barriers. The sequence of the pictures seems to suggest it's part of the re-development but there's no caption to it.
