We missed him while he was injured, but he has rested up well during his time off and now looks the part to help us in our final push.

Man of the match for me. Possibly his best performance to date and showed that we really have missed him. His crossing tonight was just irresistible and he looked like he was having fun.

Before that tho, he was fantastic.

He's rated so highly and still feels kind of underappreciated. Even when he's not getting assists, or even having the best game, I think he adds so much to our general play that we miss so much when he's absent. Just an important part of our team as anybody.

Exactly that.

Can tell he’s grown up watching Gerrard. Not to take anything at all away from Trent because he is his own player, but that delight he takes in whipping the ball around the field is clearly a Gerrard legacy.

Youngest player to make 3 assists apparently. After 2 or 3 outings by TAA, I thought, sound... great understudy that will UNDOUBTEDLY command this position in very little time. Those outings answered the question of do we need to buy to replace Clyne? That answer was 'No.'

The position of his head whenever he strikes the ball is damned near perfect. No wonder he can get whatever message he wants to send into the ball. He's an absolute purist.

I still think he’ll end up playing further up the field eventually but an outstanding display by Trent tonight.

He won't. Have an attacking RB this good is rare.

Reminds me of Dani Alves in ways. That is not an exaggeration either. Go through all the top clubs & none are as good as Trent attacking wise. Improving defensively all the time too.

Me too. Only poor players play at full back. We need to get someone without his skill in at number 2.

You just can't understate how important he's offensively to this side. Not only because of his delivery, which was magnificent today, but his passing from the back is utterly brilliant and key to finding Salah with time and space.

Robbo still leads him 8 to 6 in terms of assist count in PL and 10 to 6 including CL.

Need an encore now against Everton to keep the race tight...though by the looks of it, Trent means serious business even though Robbo has a mean cross as well...fun times!

But according to rawk experts, RB position isn't that important, and Milner is perfectly fine there.

Welcome lad, we missed a proper RB.

This lad could prove to give us a massive advantage in our title push. Him and Salah down the right were running them ragged. As were Robbo and Origi on the left to be fair.

We've the best full back in the league in Robbo and one of the best young talents there is with a wand of a right foot in Trent - not to mention a Scouser. Happy days.
