Once upon a time we were up 3-0 against Salzburg at Anfield, and it ended up being a 4-3 mental game.

The blaming on origi and lack of strikers is mental. We gave away two poor goals.

many here underestimated Milan here imo.

No, the 11 men on the pitch seemed to underestimate Milan.

As I just said, our performance stunk of complacency for me, almost as if the missed chances didn’t matter because they would keep on coming and Milan we’re never going to get a chance.

Testament to our depth when Origi still gets to start a CL game after all these years. Absolute dogshit in the final 3rd, all pressing and possesion and nothing to show for... Joe playing their players onside both times. These are recurring things, nothing new or somewhat shocking is it.
The biggest problem anywhere in the world is that people's perceptions of reality are filtered through the screening mesh of what they want, and do not want, to be true.

Utter shit from the referee. Gave a penalty, thought he'd made a mistake so gave everything to Milan. And let them take free kicks from where they felt like. Inept twat doesn't Cover it.
Is this Andy Allertons secondary account? You could have literally posted about 10 things that were more annoying before you posted about the ref. Unfortunately only got ourselves to blame, really bad last 5 minutes.

Can’t believe that. Joe’s rustiness with the offside trap at fault for both goals, although the defending before was very very sloppy.

Need to seriously find out shooting boots in the second half.

Come on lads we know we’re not down and out against Milan at half time.

Yeah he was really to blame for the goals.

Trent for the 2nd goal was criminal, just jogging back instead of busting a gut to get back into position.

He does this consistently in every single game. Jogging back at 1mph instead of busting a gut to get back. Does my head in so much.

To be fair he's one of the reasons they're not 2 or 3-0 down

He's good but extremely rash and that's why i'm saying someone needs to take the game to him. Kjaer is the calm street smart CB while Tomori flies into everything

Origi's been just fine and we are going to win the game all day.
He only had three successful passes, disposed twice, miscontrolled twice. He looks lost out there.

Need to sort ourselves out now.
Has Steven Gerrard scored a goal even more important than the one he got against Olympiakos - Is this the start of something BIG?

45 minutes of dominating and mostly just spamming crosses. Got done on the counter, they got a bit of fortune, it can happen. Attacking play needs to be better and less reliant on big crosses, but I could say the same about most games.

They've been terrible. It's on us. They've had two chances in decent positions and taken them. Our shot count must be approaching 20 and we've missed a penalty.

Ran the game for 40 minutes, switched off a little in focus and intensity - got punished simple as that really.

We'll come back out the traps in the same way we started the game, i'd bring on VVD just for set pieces to be honest....there's a goal in that alone.

It was so easy up until the penalty miss and then everything has been hit at their keeper. TAA, Salah, Fabinho, Matip and Keita were all playing well and then in the last 5 minutes we turned into a disorganised pub team. How on earth have we had 15 or so chances and only one goal. They’ve had 2 or 3 chances and scored.

We really need to stop playing within ourselves and be more ruthless. Jota and Origi have been poor with Origi being half a yard off the pace.

A 3 or 4 nil lead would not have flattered us yet we are behind.

We’re well capable of winning but we can’t afford any more sloppy play.

He does this consistently in every single game. Jogging back at 1mph instead of busting a gut to get back. Does my head in so much.

It could be because he's a little gassed from all the running he's done so far. Our midfield for the second goal was just...cavernous.

What the fuck just happened. I love Divock just christ wake up, he is almost always sleep walking through the games.

Time to dust off those 3 mins and go again the second half.
Nothing to do with Origi, but biggest culprit was Salah.
