Coming back to win in the first game will be massive for Lampard and Derby I reckon. That kind of game is one you need to nick if you're going to challenge.

His jamminess extends to management. He’ll be telling his players to shoot off people, deflections are king.

I'm not buying into Reading this season, I think they're going to suffer. Their team is shit and devoid of quality.

Fully agree with you mate.

I think Reading could go down. Don't rate the manager at all.

Reading are one of the favourites for relegation this season. With that in mind I was disappointed in Derby tonight - only caught the second half but thought that they looked quite poor. They play like that against the better teams and they are going to struggle.

Well if they carry on playing Keogh it's hard to see Derby getting automatic promotion. He's always a disaster waiting to happen, when the ball's at his feet.

Indeed. Lampard clearly has attempted to get them to play the ball out from the back. I’d love to see his passing stats, because I’m guessing he’s given the ball to a Reading player more often than to one of his own.
looks like they want to spend £10m on some french defender and he gave the captaincy to Curtis Davies so lampard getting an easy win there!

Feels like ages for me. Gonna be worse next summer with no international tournament on.

League One is going to be a laugh this season and I'm going to be keeping an eye on Fleetwood (Managed by the one and only Joey Barton)     Their 1st game is tomorrow at home to Wimbledon.

As for Sunderland, I am reading that they have brought in 11 players over the summer and I have no idea who any of them are, they come from teams such as Bradford, Sheff Wed, Peterborough, Burton Albion and Wycombe Wanderers.  Ohh, and I hear Jack Rodwell is training at Evertons Finch Farm facility while he looks for a new club.  I think Sunderland are going to struggle    ;D

Looking forward to Bradford this season, Michael Collins is the youngest manager in the 4 tiers and I know his dad really well, we've had quite a few ales together. Hoping to go to the Sunderland game.

They've been knocking on the door in recent years, this could be the time they barge through it. Got to be one of the favourites.

I guess we can expect Brentford to be done for ball tampering then.

I am tempted to put my winnings from the World Cup (£15) on Wigan, Rotherham and Reading to go down. How Paul Clement manages to find employment as a manager is beyond me.

Think Bielsa has had an effect no doubt. Committing players forward, high tempo

Don't see how it's sustainable over 46 league games and however many cup games they'll have.

Been good entertainment though, stoke look shit
