Creative Assembly are making their new Total War title 'Troy' available for free on release. Starts 13th August for 24 hours on the Epic Store.

I think it's the first full title from their Bulgarian subsidiary, and it's on the 'Saga' brand which are lower budget trials of new ideas for the series - intended to try and 'historicise' Homer's Aegean so a minotaur is a man with a bull's head helmet etc.

Elite Dangerous is free on Epic store at the moment. They've just rolled in the first expansion for free into it too, ahead of their second expansion letting you take your captain for a walk about. If you're after a space game to sink hours into during lockdown, it's not a bad one.

Jurassic World Evolution is the last game - a pretty although kinda barebones park builder. For free it's not bad at all.

Don't buy the DLC though, it's way overpriced and will hopefully be cheaper in a few months.

I went to download it from the store but I haven't got sufficient storage space at the moment - I've had a 'thanks for your purchase' email, so can I now download this at any point in the future?

I doubt you will need to play the earlier games; I’ve randomly played them in all sorts of order without it mattering.

Play the old games if you get a chance though as they’re good fun

Company of Heroes 2 and it's DLC Ardennes Assault are free this weekend on Steam. WW2 RTS. Had a rough start but they invested in it and it's got a fair sized MP scene now from what little I know of the MP side. It's perfectly fine traditional RTS with the single player campaigns having a strong narrative element.
