They looked to see if their player, played Jota on - several times. When that didn't work they went for the offside with their lines.......fuck VAR
No, they looked to see if he touched it (because he made an attempt to, and if he had it would have made the possible offside irrelevant). Decided he hadn't (and he hadn't; super-slow replay shows no deviation in the spin of the ball), so looked at the offside. And it was a fraction off, based on what body parts the rules define. VAR offsides are a total mess; but it was a centimetre, or whatever, offside.
I suspect we think we get it worst because of confirmation bias: we don't care (or study in such detail) the decisions other teams get.
Anyway. Not much to enjoy. Created a few chances, but all pretty slow and predictable still.
