Oh and it's time for the ref to start giving freekicks for all the pulling especially on Salah. A pull puts you off balance and then the ball tends to get away for you allowing the 2nd player to get the tackle in. Yes play in for a couple of seconds but if there's no advantage then call the play back for the freekick.

The same happened with Ox near the end of the half too and couldn't believe the ref didn't pull the play back.

Nice of BT to ignore the penno shout...

It’s now blanket blackout from media

They know what’s going on. Refs egos will be preserved

It’s for offsides where they can say ‘well that was close and it’s only the linesman being corrected he’s not as famous as me’

Nigel Frottage is Almiron on one of those age me apps
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Don't think he's having a stinker he is still a long way from where he was as a player overall. But he has certainly showed some quality as when he got away from the Newcastle defenders, but it will take time for him to become the player he was.

Yeah, patience is needed but he'll be back to his old self eventually.

It was a clear pen, but not a clear error by the ref.
It's easy see it was a pen on the replay, but the ref just sees it in real time, and he can just say he didn't think it was a pen. The PL implementation makes a distinction there.

58 thousand saw it in real time though mate.

I don't understand, this is there job. How can it not be a clear error by a professional who has refereed hundreds of games.

It's like VAR chooses as it pleases. Man City had a goal disallowed because the referee missed a subjective decision, yet something more clear today doesnt get a look in because it's even more clear than the one at man city? It makes no sense. It doesnt matter if its handball or a shirt tug. Its like if spurs had handballed it against city then it wouldn't of been given. Its like how can it be one rule for one and something different for something else. It has to be consistent across the board.

Walton is right though. That's how they're doing it.

The reason they're doing it this way is to appease people who don't like VAR, by not over ruling the ref all the time.

Looking after their own.

How does Jermaine Jenas find work?

with such beautiful looks how wouldn’t he find work on TV

As for his football knowledge however.

This bastard Marriner comes to Anfield with a ‘you’ll get no favours from me’ attitude and goes over the top

He already has an agenda and a storyline of the game in his head. Gives us nothing everytime

Mane joins exclusive list
HT: Liverpool 2-1 Newcastle

Liverpool's Sadio Mane is just the fourth African player to score 70 Premier League goals:

104 – Didier Drogba
97 – Emmanuel Adebayor
95 – Yakubu
70 – Sadio Mane

He'll be number one in that list by the time he retires. ;D

I'm a defender of VAR as a system, but fucking hell the implementation by the Premier League is fucking shite.  Utter clowns.

Everyone knows the refs in the premier league are shite.. They dont want VAR exposing them even more..
Funnily enough, more bad calls are happening now than in previous seasons.. Refs are not making a decisive decision on the pitch fearing VAR would make them look like clowns.. VAR not showing enough balls to call out the refs on the pitch..
What you get is more shockers than before..
F*CK 0FF Mourinho..

Slow start but sometimes the way in early kick offs after the Intl break. Trying to get through a double decker parked firmly in their own half isn’t easy either. Salah and Ox a bit quiet but we found away in the end, loved the Bobby steal for Mane’s second. What a player.

Hopefully grab an early 3rd and cruise

I don't know why Sky/BT etc employ ex refs. All they do is back up the decision of the ref on the pitch.

They stick together these refs and ex refs.
