I thought he was a good choice to get them up from the Championship.

They really should have replaced him after they got promoted. He's an effective Manager at the right level (even though he's a gobshite), just not what a club with ambitions of staying in the Premiership needs.

They would of been of sticking with to be honest. He might be a twat sometimes but he has the habit of getting teams somewhere.

Will be interesting to see who the next manager is, probably Mark Hughes.

Something like that would justify the decision, its harsh on Warnock unless they are thinking really big and they want to back a credible manager with decent money.

If it turns out to be someone like Mark Hughes, well they'll get what they deserve.

I wonder if Rafa would go to London, I guess so although he may be skeptical about QPR.

Never liked him but he spoke a lot of sense over the last few weeks.
Praised Suarez when qpr came here and said how great he is, was correct when he criticised the FA for not rescinding bartons red.

Don't want Rafa anywhere near this. It's beneath him. Wouldn't want Warnock to have the satisfaction of managing a club Rafa has.

If the owners F1 team is anything to go buy which i think it is since one of his assistants(?) in F1 now has a position at QPR IIRC, then they're heading in the right direction, to be honest I think they were looking for a reason to get rid of him because they have their own plans and ideas of who they want in place. I also think its for the better and the club will start to take shape in line with the owner.

Edit: On the Rafa thing i don't think he is prepared to leave Liverpool, his family are settled, kids in school and all that. The downside to that of course is he will have to wait a bit before a more local job turns up and become a part time pundit for the time being. I guess he must be thinking hard about whether he can leave Liverpool, go back to Spain, or move to a different part of the country.

He accused Rafa Benitez of deliberately fielding a weakened side against Fulham in 2007 and thereby getting his team relegated. He even made a crack about Rafa getting hampers from Harrods. There's forthright and there's fucking stupid.

Even though it would be beneath him, is Rafa even touting himself for jobs which open up? Although QPR isn't the level he deserves, they aren't skint. He would do a great job there and it would put him in the shop window for bigger jobs. It seems though that he is just waiting for a big job in the prem to be offered to him which, ultimately will never come as things stand.

QPR ain't a big club but they are well backed and Fernandes gave him some money I reckon Rafa would have them competing for Europa spots in no time.

Warnock's a little unlucky though especially as the referee decided the game against Norwich with the joke red card, had he stayed on they may probably have won that and their position would have looked a bit more comfortable.

If 3 of the top 5 bookies favourites for this job aren't Mark Hughes, Steve Bruce and Alan Curbishley I'll be amazed.

Fully expect David O'Leary in the top 10 as well.

Although I hate the moron with a passion, I think its a bit harsh to sack him. They should have given him some funds in the January to strengthen and then if QPR were still playing poorly, they should have sacked him.

He did well to get them up to the Premier League, I'll give him that. But I'm not so sure he would be the one to keep them up there, that and he's a massive twat.

I think he would have kept them with a bit of investment in the squad. QPR are better than Blackburn, Bolton and Wigan who are the favs to go down.

I thought Hughes was really good at Blackburn.

He was decent at City and Fulham. I am not sure whether QPR would be able to attract a better manager than Hughes at this point of time. Rafa is way too goo for them.

Thats true.

I really hope Wigan go down. Absolutely hate that club. Shit fans and shit owners. They always take points off us, Chelsea and Arsenal but bend against United. However, They somehow always manage to survive on the last day. If Martinez keeps them up this season as well, he deserves the LMA manager of the season award.
