Martin Kenneth Wild, a man alone but hopefully not any more
« on: April 27, 2016, 12:17:26 pm »
We hear so much of families and survivors but hearing this of someone being alone all the way through this process really hits home

Just clicked on the main board and my virus scanner came back with this

"When we visited this site, we found it exhibited one or more risky behaviors."

Martin Kenneth Wild, no family left to mourn him, to hear the verdict to listen to the truth, but as Chopper says, one of us. Always in our memory

Some tough stories coming out over the last 24 hours, but to go through that yesterday and the thought of someone having no-one to remember them personally, really hits a chord with me that. Heartbreaking.

Lots of emotions yesterday, with more tears than I have shed in a long time.

Just when I think I am done, something else comes along and sets me off again.

RIP Martin. One of our own.

So sad to think his family never lived to see this day. YNWA Martin.

Fivelive have had more people talking about him this morning - old friends and colleagues. It's a little insight into how the disaster impacted on so many lives. It's important to note that Martin wasn't forgotten over the last 27 years. A friend on the radio this morning talked movingly about visiting his grave on a regular basis. His family may have passed on, but he has been remembered, and the other families for fought for him.

Rest In Peace, Martin.

Enormous respect for the people who contacted Fivelive to pay their own personal tributes to Martin this morning and to let the world know that he wasn't forgotten, nor would be forgotten. It was, again, very emotional to listen to, but uplifting at the same time.
