I don't think anybody would begrudge current players taking tickets. The question is how many does each player get? There has to be a limit to that number, and whatever it is now, it should be smaller. Perhaps it's just a pool of tickets that they somehow just all have access too and request them from the club/others if/when needed.
I'm not sure how many players would qualify for tickets. I assume at the least it'd be everyone named in the European squad but let's be honest some that haven't been involved will still be allowed an allocation. Really that number should be the same for all players. If player X only wants to take a handful of family members and mates it shouldn't mean the rest of his goes to someone who will take the piss and bring all sorts of hangers on. There's two clubs as well remember, so the players friends and families are already taking a ridiculously high number of seats in the stadium.
Ex-players is the really interesting one for me. Again, nobody's denying a Dalglish or Gerrard etc a certain number of tickets for it, but how many is fair? Some would argue that number should be one and to be honest I can't disagree. I'd love to see a breakdown of every ex-player who's getting tickets for this from the club, because I guarantee there's fucking loads who should be nowhere near it.
If anybody has not seen the rest of my hopeless posts on this thread today, no, I didn't get a ticket, and also, any spares?
