I'd say go for a name that was popular a hundred years ago and is still popular now so something classic and timeless that was a top 100/200 name a hundred years ago and is still a top 100/200 name now. You might say this is a bit boring but she will thank you when she's old enough to realise that it's unlikely she'll ever be discriminated against based on her name when it comes to applying to jobs in the future (both in terms of class discrimination "Chantelle" and age discrimination aka whatever the 2050's version of a Karen is).

Some names that come to mind based on this would be Sarah, Emma, Alice, Emily, Hannah

Here's a link that may be helpful I'm sure there'll be lots of other sites you can look at as well which show the popularity of names over time

https://www.ukbabynames.com/girls/top

You can go a bit more out there with the middle name which she can choose to use if she likes it but i would play it safe on the first name would be my two cents. Good luck!

Yep.  You've got your daughter fulltime for what 15-18 years,  she's got to bear it fulltime for 80-90 years (full,  happy lifespan :))

Took us ages to come up with a name for our little girl, mainly because my missus works in an all girls school so if one of the kids annoyed her or had an attitude, that name was out ;D

In the end, we went with Amirah, a name you don’t usually hear but one we fell in love with.

Feel your pain for picking a name!

This is pretty good advice in my opinion.

Elizabeth
Charlotte
Rose
Grace
Florence
Iris
Matilda

Names like Florence, Matilda, Iris, Rose are names that were really popular 100 years ago, fell out of favour but over the last 20 years have gradually started to come back a bit.

Names like Charlotte and Elizabeth are still popular but declining in numbers since their heydays 10-20 years ago.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

JESSIE Paisley, wife of Liverpool FC's most successful manager Bob Paisley, has died aged 96.

She passed away in hospital this morning after being diagnosed with a heart infection last week.

Jessie's son Graham today said: "She was the driving force behind my dad."

And it was some force, with Bob Paisley guiding the Reds to six league titles, three European Cups, three League Cups, one UEFA Cup and one European Super Cup in just nine years in charge between 1974 and 1983.
It’s not even about individuality, it’s about the team. Our game was based on his controlling of the tempo. Squeeze the life out of the opposition and then strike. That is our game. Like a pack of pythons.
