Has everyone gone off Trent now he's part of Team Max?  ;D

Trent is obviously part of Verstappen’s gang of Nazis.

Straight from the Goebbels playbook that one. Get photographed with a famous black guy and you couldn’t possibly be racist :)

Bubbling away in the background this weekend has been the ongoing debate about "bouncing". The FIA has published a technical directive saying it has come up with a metric that defines the maximum amount of bouncing a car will be allowed to do. But it was something else in the ruling that caught teams’ eyes - and that was the revelation that it had suspicions some teams had founds ways to make their planks and front underfloors bend more than was permitted in the rules. So planks and skid plates will also be measured once the directive comes into force in France in two races’ time, and the rules around floor stiffness have been tightened up.

Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff described these revelations as "a shocker".

'Nobody had an idea until the FIA brought it up in the last technical advisory committee meeting, which was to a great surprise of all the teams because the regulations are pretty clear,” he said. There is no argument why that could deflect more than what’s in the regs. A bit of a surprise to say the least, more a shocker."

Mercedes’ trackside engineering director Andrew Shovlin implied that he thought Red Bull and/or Ferrari could be affected by this new ruling. "When it came to light, we realised there's opportunities that we've perhaps not been taking or exploiting. So it won't affect us in how we run our car. It may well be it affects our competitors, and, by virtue of that, we move a little bit closer."
"And there are red and white scarves of Liverpool, and red and white bobble hats of Liverpool, and red and white rosettes of Liverpool, and nothing else. And the sun shines now."

Haven't Mercedes had their own problems with a bouncing car so far?

Yeah…….

I think the implication here is that ‘some’ teams are fixing the porpoising with an over-flexible floor.

Sainz always makes shite starts when on the front rows so not really optimistic about this one. In addition, there will be no clean side so it's just the outside. I suspect a 1-3 for Red Bull immediately because of that.

They’ve not shown a replay so far… this doesn’t bode well… let’s hope it’s just precautionary

replays are never shown until they know everyone's ok these days.

by the way russell went back to his car I'm going to guess he's seen that things are generally ok but that's just a guess.

Fingers crossed for Zhou. Worrying that there’s been no replays and have thrown the red flag so quickly. Difficult to get him out if he’s still upside down.
