The FIA has published a technical directive saying it has come up with a metric that defines the maximum amount of bouncing a car will be allowed to do. But it was something else in the ruling that caught teams’ eyes - and that was the revelation that it had suspicions some teams had founds ways to make their planks and front underfloors bend more than was permitted in the rules.
