Went past BMD today. Bleak in the weather.  Big signs saying no photographs or social media posts to be taken.
Is Bungling Bill trying to pull a media rights trick?
Photography in a public space is not illegal. Anyone standing outside the ground can take a photo of it.
Two big sections cut out of the wall to serve as gates that will have to be replaced. Only way out is via the Dock road gate and apparently one further up by the sewage works.
Maybe all our leg pulling about ferries tying up alongside might not be a bad idea. Getting 40,000 fans away from there is going to be fun

Big day for Everton today with Bobby brown shoes & his Evertonian midfield general winning their first game with Belgium.

If only Everton had De Bruyne, they’d win the lot.

It's bad enough getting 10k in the Kings Dock Arena and that's not enclosed.

Think it was a jokey reference to Prof. Barrett-Baxendale's full-on 'Everton that' claim that "the City is ours!" just because a company linked to Moshiri owned the Liver building for a while and Everton rented a floor of it

Imagine it.

We trounce them 5-0 in the derby and he comes on the telly afterwards to declare that they actually won but had victory stolen from them.

Mind you, that sounds like he'd fit in really well over there.

A group like ALK Capital - the shady consortium that bought Burnley with debt leveraged against the club and ultimately relegated them.

Moshiri's finances are always a bit of a mystery but it may be that he's at the stage of cutting losses and getting back whatever he can from whomever he can.  Everton are a sportswashing project if anything but that's very much not the model of US owners.

Everton don't own it though remember.

Owned in part by Moshi la via a shady company.

Used to work on the 4th floor there, Everton on the 6th. Very spacious office I heard.

Also Liverpool use the Venue (on the 1st floor) for hospitality.

The only link to Everton is that they probably pay rent to Moshi for the office space (haven't checked their accounts to check though)

Who would buy Everton at this stage? A half built stadium with another 200-300m needed to finish it. A weak squad flirting with relegation. A callow, unproven manager. Literally one of the biggest teams in the world next door. And, in a global era, a tiny catchment of supporters priding themselves on their local status, like a pornstar boasting of having ythe smallest penis in the business. It's a terrible investment

Not really high potential or that big a club either. Newcastle have now made it tougher to break into a top 6/7 finish.

Compare them to West Ham for example. A free ground in London already paid for with a higher capacity than BMD will be. West Ham a bigger fanbase and catchment area and they're in Europe. Then you've got Leeds a big one club city. Aston Villa tge main club in Birmingham.

Everton's natural level now is mid table.

It's like how the £1.3b Moshilad had in personal wealth suddenly belonged to Everton, and they were "fuckin' rich."
