Overall brown sauce is better than tomato sauce on most things. Notable exceptions are a burger or a plain bacon sandwich (tomato sauce wins here).

Almost every time someone tries to claim sprouts are nice, their argument seems to boil down to "add so many other ingredients with strong flavours that it drowns out the taste of sprouts" (like bacon and garlic etc).

Disagree on Squires - not all of it is funny and it's very often not a howler but he is funny and I do laugh out loud at some particularly good stuff.

BMW and Mercedes - outside of the really high-end stuff that's Ł70k+ are no better than Kia's or Toyota's.

I personally think cold meats and cheeses for breakfast isn’t palatable at that time of morning - it can even be stomach-turning.

My first ever Football trip abroad was Eindhoven.  I got wrecked on the first night, went down for hotel breakfast, some nice sausage bacon and eggs racing through my brain.

All I could get was cold ham and cheese.  The disgust for this food has stayed with me

Any veg boiled and eaten without added flavour is just gross. Need to get veg grilled or charred in a frying pan to make it nice.

Agreed to an extent, but most vegetables are at least edible without being drowned in other flavours, unlike sprouts.

I don't tend to buy fashion trainers to wear, just sports shoes and Nike's track and carbon plate stuff are great but most of their gear falls apart under heavy mileage. ASICs produce cheaper, higher quality road shoes for a greater variety of feet and gait types. They're just better for heavy usage.

correct about steamed, I should have said that.

anyhow - taste shouldn't be the only criterion for everything you eat.  if it is, why not just eat chocolate every meal, followed by ice cream for dessert?  veggies are good for you, everyone knows that. putting a few on your plate along with stuff you find tasty, and not smothering them with god knows what ... it isn't that big a deal.

And yes The Specials were the better of the two.
