It has defo been done before, I think DeMichelis did it when he joined Abu Dhabi
Robert Jarni famously signed for Coventry from Betis then joined Real Madrid a week or two later.

Yeah think its to do with number of times registered, rather than number of transfers/loans isn't it?

Southampton surely accepted the bid (if that report is true), but if you're leaving City's academy/reserves for Southampton you are presumably looking to play - so there's surely almost no chance that player could be bullied into agreeing to join academy wasteland Chelsea (who look only more likely now to be a terrible place for youth players to develop in the team)

Didi Hamann going from Bolton to Man City too. He was with Bolton for less than a day had a change of heart and joined Man City for £400,000

Ornstein says Wolves trying to get Diego Costa (free agent) after the ACL injury to Kalajdzic. He’s coming for a trial with a view to signing a short term deal.

Think Patrice Evra became a free agent as his deal expired with United, signed a new deal with them then moved to Juventus for a fee if I recall correctly.

Work permit rejected apparently. Odd, given he's lived in the country before as a permanent resident and would be paying the top tax bracket.

Maybe the fact that he's a massive c*nt is the reason?   ;)

When did he leave though? 2017? There’s usually an x years in y residence rule that applies for applications otherwise he’s back to square one.

Looks like Costa's been granted a visa. https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12692166/diego-costa-granted-work-permit-to-complete-wolves-move
He is/was a Spain International, capped lots of times, strange he wasn't able to move here without any fuss, the hard shoulder shitter signed a young player from China without any international experience without any issues, guess it depends on who is asking I suppose.

Not sure jealous is the word I’d use to deceive signing Serge Aurier.

VfB Stuttgart sign Dan-Axel Zagadou on a free transfer.

He’s a talented player who unfortunately has suffered some awful injury issues, specifically knee injuries.

Still, worth the risk for Stuttgart.

yeah, would have quite liked his versatility for our front three, you'd imagine he wouldn't require too long to play our way (unless the forward play is changing dramatically by next season) and that's a not-prohibitive price

I’m quite surprised he’s not gone back to PSG. At 60m it’s a no brainer for pretty much any team really. That gets you Cucurella these days.

From what I can see on transfermarkt....

As the main striker he's got 5 goals and 4 assists in 11 games
As a support striker he's got 21 goals and 10 assists in 35 games
As an attacking midfielder he's got 18 goals and 15 assists in 47 games
As a left winger 6 goals and 5 assists in 21 games
As a right winger 5 goals and 3 assists in 12 games

He's not particularly good from out wide, and we've currently got Nunez, Jota and Firmino who all predominantly play centrally. Not that he's not a good player or that you can ever have too many good players....but hard to see where he'd particularly fit into our attack considering at least we'll have Diaz, Nunez, Jota and Salah here next season.

Why would anyone bother with a medical 8 months in advance when the player will play 30+ games and train every day so could pick up all sorts of issues.
