Hasenhüttl has nine lives. Had reportedly lost the dressing room and was on the verge of getting sacked right before the season started/right after their first fixture. 7 points from their next 4 games including a win over Chelsea and now signing Gapko?

Either that or the media is shit and is just making stuff up (more likely).  ;D
You cannot call overseas Liverpool supporters glory hunters. We’ve won one trophy this decade. If they’re glory hunters, they’re really bad ones. They’re actually journey hunters. It’s the journey and the story. Something about Liverpool has grabbed them." - Neil Atkinson (May, 2019)

If Gakpo is joining Southampton he’s going out on a high. He’s scored a hat trick against some carpenters, accountants and supermarket shelf stackers.

He is a good manager. Southampton have had very few quality players in past 2 seasons and he always have the team giving 100% even when they are in abysmal form.

This. I think he is a really good manager who has had Southampton constantly overperforming. They've almost always had one of the worst squads in the league and under most managers, would have gone down easily. He'd be a great coach for an actual midtable side like Leicester.

They certainly made up for the poor fee they got for Gravenberch by absolutely rinsing United out of nearly £150 million.

Everton going heavy in midfield now, seems they are banking on Maupay being amazing and Calvert Lewin returning to form for goals. Garner and Gueye look to be getting done today.
We already have shit in the country, and the game of Liverpool fills life with joy. Thanks

Gvardiol's signed a new deal at Leipzig, which presumably means Chelsea won't be agreeing a deal for him today. Probably still goes next summer though.

Duje Caleta-Car (Croatian CB) signing for Southampton from Marseilles. Into last year of his contract.

Strange one, hes a very good player, surely would have better options in the summer and would have had a few champions league games under his belt by then.

Leicester really are fucked financially, aren't they?

Seems the extent of their summer business will be signing some CB called Wout Faes for £15m to replace Wesley Fofana, and trying to get Jeremie Boga on loan from Atalanta. The latter is especially amusing, as Atalanta signed Ademola Lookman, who Rodgers had wanted to take on a permanent deal, so essentially they're signing the guy who Lookman has displaced.

His form has dropped since his failed move to us in January 2021. Still, a good signing for Southampton ...

And therein lies the cautionary 'quite often its actually smart to wait for the right player' since we waited for Ibou instead of signing someone who has become so shit he's going to Southampton for a pittance

Leicesters new CB will be fun starting next to Soyuncu. Absolute twins

Not sure it's that bad as they turned down big offers for Maddison, had no intention of selling Fofana until he downed tools and Chelsea offered silly money and are prepared to let Tielemens leave for free if they don't get a reasonable offer.

The problem they've got is a full squad of players and they haven't been able to move players on to bring more in. Also Rodgers is on the brink there which means a big pay out and they don't really want to trust him with more money in the meantime (i.e. no Benteke for 32 mill when he's going to be sacked in a month).

Could have done with Grujic and even Chirivella to tide us over this season

They'd be well over it if Leipzig were prepared to sell Gvardiol. Must have been prepared to spend near £400m. For a club that naturally loses £1.5m a week that's an awful lot.

Looks like Lookman likes to travel, already at his 6th club at 24.
