Ancellotti is a notorious underperformer in league competitions. I wouldn’t be surprised that without a deep CL run he’s out as manager for next season.

Raphinha with a sumptuous cross on the floor for Gavi to tap in. 2-0 to Barca.

Alba to Raphinha. 3-0. Game over. The Xavi revolution is well under way. They go 8 points clear at the top.

Surprisingly, last year Barca looked finished. I told my son they will take a good decade to recover and come back as a force....

Valencia are bang in trouble lost five league games in a row now dropped to 19th place, if they get relegated they could find it difficult to come back up as the likes of Zaragoza, Deportivo and Malaga have all had lengthy spells now not playing in the top flight and they all used to be sides playing European football at one point.

Atletico will probably be disappointed they didn't win that - despite going down to 10 men on 64', then scoring on 78' - only to concede to Real on 85'

1-1; full-time.

Madrid have only retained the league title once in 33 years. Some going in a two team league for the most part (and given their dominance in CL).

They were lucky to even do it at that time if I remember correctly as well. Sevilla looked like they could have won it and were quite unlucky not to. Would have been about 2008.

They won one a few years back when Barca (top at the time) sacked Valverde after he'd won it in convincing fashion twice in a row.
