This game is my main reason for buying a PS4, cannot wait
me too, bought a PS4 a couple of months back in anticipation, still haven't switched it on!  ;D

got the hump when they moved the release date of this, so have concentrated on finishing off my cache of PS3 games first!

This and Far Cry 4 are the only games I have on pre order for the remainder of this year, expected more to be available one year post launch for "next gen".

I saw the announcement but thought it was Feb because it was stylised 06.02.15!! Little did I realise they were doing the silly, illogical, yank date thing

Can't believe I've got another 9 months to wait!

This game just looks ridiculously good. And the graphics look incredible.

Looks phenomenal.

The Arkham series is probably my favourite gaming franchise ever and this game is the main reason for me buying a PS4,

I know they're showing off their new toy but my only slight concern is the seemingly over reliance on the Batmobile. I hope this isn't the case and it is optional but my main reason why I loved this game was the combat system as Batman and the close atmosphere of stalking your enemies and being meticulous and calculating not simply blowing things up like with most games. Obviously this is impossible when driving round in a tank with cannons, so hope its just a side-line and the trailer is just showing it off,

Read that they are making the batmobile a big part and the game is massive hence the need for next gen. They didnt want it to just be a gimmick and have made it feel like part of the game. The batmibile is needed for some of the puzzle elements where you need to remotely take charge and use its cannons to open up paths for you.

Reading that should excite me being a Batman geek but for some reason it makes me nervous,

I'm a pessimist by nature but I'm just concerned that if they don't get any element of Batmobile spot on eg handling or controls, it could make for an infuriating experience, Rocksteady haven't let me down yet so I hope this continues

In saying that it does look awesome

Been handed an M rating, the rest were only R in this series.

Gotta applaud them by the sounds of it they aren't going to back down and remove stuff to make it R, got really high expectations for this

Don't think civilians are actually in the game. Police yes, but actual civilians have been evacuated because of the threat of Scarecrow's attacks from what I read somewhere. Still looks amazing to b fair.

GTA style character-switching and tag-team combat seems very intriguing. Can't wait to learn exactly how that works.

I don't think so, I get the impression that was all from the single-player mode, and the other characters are there as AI, but you can switch to them at certain points.

Oh that's pretty cool then.

Has anything actually been said about multiplayer? I know Origins had it, but none of the Rocksteady versions did. Which makes me think there won't be any in Arkham Knight either.

I'd rather they didn't.  Unless they did it like Destiny in the sense that you can do a load of MP missions, but co-op rather than the whole deathmatch thing.

I'd love some co-op missions with Batman and one of the sidekicks having to sneak into places and take people out. Bonuses for being stealthy etc. Would be quality.

Co-op would be amazing. Especially with the combat they could throw 100's at a time at you. Would be mayhem and great fun.

Rather they kept co-op/multiplayer out of it, Arkham's always been a great solo series, there's 100000 games out there with heavy focus on multiplayer already

Well, after hearing that the season pass for the DLC is $40 and seeing that the Shadow of Mordor: GoTY edition is coming out in a week or so, I think I'll be putting off buying this for 8-12 months, since it seems like that's how long it takes for Warner Bros to decide to re-release their games with all the content in it. c*nts.

Absolutely can't wait for this one - I've preordered the 'Red Hood' edition - which unsurprisingly is a story pack for the Red Hood character.

Haven't heard anything said about Joker being in this - and with Mark Hamill doing Star Wars again it seems unlikely that he'd have voiced the character - and yes, I know he 'died' in Arkham City, but it would be great if he was in the game, even if only a cameo.

With the main villain being Scarecrow, I'd definitely expect Joker to appear when Batman is exposed to the fear gas.

Never played a batman game since, before playstation i think if i remember correctly. Or was the first one out on ps1?

Anyhow what's peoples opinion on this? I got one free with my graphics card, is it worth it? i getting told it's meant to be amazing.
Liverpool manager Rafael Benítez admitted after the match that the manner of his side's victory had stunned him and he stated: "My problem is that I don't have words to express the things that I feel at this moment"

The entire Arkham series is great mate, Origins drops off a bit but I'd highly recommend all of them
