And the answers are:
1. Donnie Darko/Harvey - Well done Hazell & Thush
2. Birth of a Nation - You got it, Thush
3. Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives - Titi + Classycarra
4. Barton Fink/Hail Caesar - Titi + Thush
5. In the Hall of the Mountain King - Dave
6. Lots of you said "Stayin Alive", but the question asked what movie the picture was a sequel to - which is Saturday Night Fever - all of which you would have got anyway.
Anyway, next round.
1. What auteur is directing himself as the title character(s) in a 1953 film?
2. These protagonists' ordeals give us two terms for psychological manipulation. Name either term.
3. Whom does this sinister parental figure hope to add to her wall of victims?
4. Careful! The climax to what silent comedy is advertised in this poster?
5. What character should have stuck to the big screen instead of moonlighting in a cataclysmic Atari tie-in?
6. What titan of independent filmmaking is sporting a Hugh Hefner look in this publicity still?
Kudos to you if you manage to get #4 - but the other ones are gettable. 1 & 6 are definitely guessable if you have some reasonable knowledge of directors of a certain type. Independent isn't necessarily the first word that comes to mind.
