NBC news saying it could be a suicide bomber, think it's pretty easy for anyone to just walk up to the box office via the stairs in Manchester Victoria

I'd be wary of what the U.S. networks are saying given its a UK-based incident. During the 2016 Munich attack, the likes of CNN were claiming that there had been multiple attacks, including one in Marienplatz, which was unlikely given there is a massive police headquarters just around the corner from it. During that incident, the German authorities and media kept asking certain U.S. journalists on Twitter who were disseminating that information, as to where they were getting their sources for that information.

nbc quoting us intelligence who've spoken to the uk, to be fair they did report the number dead long before GMP officially did

I think general rule in the immediate aftermath of these things is to stick to the local news outlets. So much of the media (especially in the US) want to be the first to break stories and seem to care about that more than reporting accurately.

They are saying it happened outside in a public space.

There have been several eyewitness reports where those inside heard one explosion, while those outside reported a second. Possibly the first inside the foyer, the second outside in the 'public space'.

The Arena have said it was outside.

I know (and reports immediately afterwards are often confused and contradictory). Some eyewitnesses have quite specifically mentioned one inside, like the guy early on who was stood in the doorway and said he was blown backwards from the explosion.

edit: a local BBC reporter on BBC News now, quoting an eye witness inside the foyer talking about being hit and there being 'nuts and bolts' all over the place, possibly corroboration of the increasing rumours of a 'nail bomb'.

Who knows. Horrible, whatever the details.

That's just a minute's walk from Victoria Station and the Arena for those who don't know Manchester. Another public space.

News confirming what I heard, explosions in the foyer . awful sight.
It might take our producers five minutes to find 60 economists who feared Brexit and five hours to find a sole voice who espoused it.

The timing of it though. Waiting for people to come out of the concert and make their way homes.

Lots of reports of shrapnel injuries and nuts and bolts found. Can't see anything else but a bomb unfortunately.

Really shaken me up this. So sad.
