I mean when you put it like that it doesn't seem too bad does it?
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

Winning against City would have practically guaranteed it, now it just needs a bit more work.

The graph reflects the game, a complete free hit. Continue as we have been and we'll be just fine. We also have the least games against the Top 6 to go out of everyone.

We also have the fewest Par 3 left with 4 which are West ham,  United , Everton , and Newcastle  Can be max of par +15
City have 6 left which are Newcastle, Everton, Bournemouth, United, Palace and Burnley, Can have max of Par +11
Spurs have 5 left which are Burnley, Chelsea, Liverpool, City, Bournemouth Can have max of Par +9

Man City away games, 9 games

Hudderfield,Newcastle,Everton,Bournemouth,Man Utd ,Fulham,Palace,Burnley,Brighton
20,15,11,12,6,19,14,16,13  =14 current place

Liverpool away games, 8 games

Brighton,West Ham,Man Utd,Everton,Fulham,Southampton,Cardiff,Newcastle
13,10,6,11,19,18,17,15 = 13,6 current place

Man City home , 8 games

Wolves,Arsenal,Chelsea,West Ham,Watford,Cardiff,Tottenham,Leicester
9,5,4,10,8,17,3,7 =7,9 current place

Anfield, 9 games
Palace,Leicester,Watford,Burnley,Bournemouth,Tottenham,Chelsea,Huddersfield,Wolves
14,7,8,16,12,3,4,20,9 =10,3 current place

Tottenham is there , but I am sure they will not be in the tittle race . They have toughest schedule with away games against Liverpool,Chelsea and City...

My fault for coming on here drunk on New Years Day morning, I put the mockers on. Sorry.

As a slight bonus, as far as this table goes, they gained 1 single point on us right?

Spurs, Chelsea, Man Utd, Everton - some tough games to go. We are in a fight. We need to respond well to tonight’s loss, and I think we will, but it will be close between us and Man City at the end of the season.

I expect Spurs to slip a bit, with a couple of tough games coming up for them, and also not having the same depth of squad.

Gutted about tonight’s loss, but the APLT helps give a great perspective on how well we are doing.

We are in a proper title fight here, it is going right to the wire. A long second half of the season with lots of twists and turns. Great run of fixtures to build momentum for it.

I personally don’t see city dropping more than 6 points for the rest of the season
Unreal what you need to do to win this league really

They have some really tough games coming up they could drop points in any of those.

I just think last nights result will work massively in their favour and see them going on a long winning streak
Just hope we can do the same

Why wouldn't we be able to match them especially when we have a four points cushion. Some of our hardest games are out of the way now.  City have to face more harder games. Anyway we're falling for the agenda, we don't worry about what City are doing just concentrate on ourselves and have belief. We can do this.

8 points clear in the APLT is good. A positive table to read.

We play none of the top 6 in our next 5 games. City play 2 of the top 6 in their next 5 games, Arsenal and Chelsea.
I always said we had the best two teams on Merseyside… Liverpool and Liverpool Reserves.

The sad thing is that we've started our decline, as it is clear from the graph, and at best we could only hope for a point at Brighton with major luck. They are a tight team and barely lost to top sides by a single goal.

Going to start doing game week previews like I did last season. The post-City run in begins...

Current APLT numbers:

Liverpool: 7
Spurs: -1
City: -1
Chelsea: -9
Arsenal: -10
United: -11

Matchday 22:

Liverpool: 7 Brighton (A) Par 3 (Win 7, Draw 5, Lose 4)
Spurs: -1 United (H) Par 3 (Win -1, Draw, -3, Lose -4)
City: -1 Wolves (H) Par 3 (Win -1, Draw -3, Lose -4)
Chelsea: -9 Newcastle (H) Par 3 (Win -9, Draw -11, Lose -12)
Arsenal: -10 West Ham (A) Par 1 (Win -8, Draw -10, Lose -11)
United: -11 Spurs (A) Par 1 (Win -9, Draw -11, Lose -12)

Liverpool and City have some of the harder par 3 games this weekend with Wolves at Home and Brighton away not being the most straight forward of games. Although, at this stage of the season these are the games you should be comfortably putting away. A win would put United right back in the race for top 4 and anything but a win for spurs would all but put them out of the title race (although you could argue the same for City!). Arsenal have the chance to gain some APLT ground this weekend but these are the type of games Arsenal normally get par in. Chelsea need to win otherwise things really have turned south for them having lost 9 APLT points in the last 10 match days!

The reds are coming up the hill boys.

This is all to do with the "Perch" curse Fergie put on us back in the day.

Interestingly our title challenge in 2014 went off the rails when the incumbent Utd slogger was replaced with a rejuventated ex-Fergie upstart. This time it's happened much earlier. I don't see us winning many games from here on. We might even have points subtracted after Klopp breaks the rules and runs onto the pitch and takes a dump in the refs card pocket after every one of our players is sent off during our 42-0 thrashing by lowly Huddersfield.

Brighton could be a real banana skin, got a bad feeling about this one. In fact its keeping me awake thinking about them, especially since we have just the one fit centre back.

Man City away games, 9 games

Hudderfield,Newcastle,Everton,Bournemouth,Man Utd ,Fulham,Palace,Burnley,Brighton
20,15,11,12,6,19,14,16,13  =14 current place

Liverpool away games, 8 games

Brighton,West Ham,Man Utd,Everton,Fulham,Southampton,Cardiff,Newcastle
13,10,6,11,19,18,17,15 = 13,6 current place

I read that as City only have one hard away game left, Utd. Whereas we have three in WHU, Everton (who up their game vs us) and Utd.

Glass half empty kinda guy I guess ;D

Another +0 when that was the best possible outcome.

Come on red men. I thought the league title would mean everything to me if we won it, but after the last week, it'll mean even more. Come on reds.

Mockers: We will unfortunately drop 2 or 3 points to Palace at the weekend guaranteed, no way we can continue this form.
