Superb performance that, lots of positives to take, Milan though were absolutely shocking.

The only downside is that Atletico get through but who cares, the reds have been absolutely dominant in the tournament this season.

Nice run out for a few of the lads there, good stuff, although I was only half watching. If you’d told me back in March/April I’d be only half watching a Champions League match at the San Siro you’d have got a funny look. I’d have given you the same look had you told me Nat Philips would be doing Cruyff turns in his own box leaving a couple of opponents having to pay to get back in!

Although, they should have kicked a couple of own goals in at the end just to eliminate Atletico.

Very good performance from the B team. Ox and Konate both very good, as was Neco, Morton extremely composed for a teenager starting in the Champions League and another goal for Origi, which is terrific because he's a confidence player. Would love to see him go in a run during Afcon. Couldn't ask for much more really!

Happy enough they've got through. They might just give Bayern/City/Chelsea/United a game and knock one of them out (Porto or Milan wouldn't).

They'll be out next round in all probability. Better that than the glory of another Europa League win.

Milan must have hated that game.
They weren't allowed to settle at all against those Reds. We mugged them in their big famous stadium with quality and guile.

Sometimes I was wondering if we were playing against 10 men. Sometimes I thought we should have been playing against ten men - if the Ref had his cards with him.

Utter group domination. 11 points clear of the team in second

. It's not like it's a group of bums either - the team that finished bottom of the group are top of Serie A!

It's so impressive how players can seamlessly come and go and the team output hardly varies. Some sprinkle that bit of star dust but the tactical acumen and mentality is across about 30 players.

Other than Ox getting a couple of heavy blows we seemed to come through unscathed whilst also getting a few back on the pitch following injuries. Shaping up well for the next month of fixtures.

Really proud of this largely second-string team coming to the San Siro and bossing it for the most part. Salah and Origi took their goals well. Konate and Phillips were both rock solid. Some of the kids got time too. Great night.

Lovely stuff. We went to San Siro, played a lot of squad players, were a goal down and honestly, it still felt like there was only one possible outcome. A 6th win. Two similar goals from Salah and Origi. A shot, save and rebound scored with a quality touch. We made it even more difficult by playing Williams at RM, then AOC up front etc. Must be great for the young players to record a win in the CL away at AC Milan. Not many players get to experience that. A fantastic group stage. 18 from 18.
