We are playing the most anonymous central midfielder in history. Gini is bottling it badly. He either needs to get braver or get off. Absolutely dire performance from him meaning that Milner and AOC are trying to hold up the midfield and struggling badly.Trent and Robbo seem outmatched on their flanks, but our big issue is that we can't get on the ball and can't control the pace of the game. Get hold of the midfield and we might have better success.

Still totally in the fixture. We are 2 goals up and that's simply from going to extra time/penalties etc. We just need to get compact, get some calm heads out there and some of the lads really have to put in a shift for each other. We don't have much on the bench so we're going to have to make do as long as we can

Refs rather strange, so quick to book for challenges but showed nothing to Sterling who dived twice in the space of about 3/4 minutes. Their cheating tactics to con the ref are an embarassment, Ederson... prick shoving Mane like that for slipping over and Otamendi prick... every second touch of his seems to be a desperate stretching challenge after miscontrol, was all too happy to roll around like he'd been shot then was up like a fucking spring as soon as play continued, miraculously healed

Given we went 1-0 down in under 2 mins and they have absolutely dominated the ball I think we take that. Actually think we’ve done really well to hold out defensively although definitely nerve wracking and riding luck on a couple of occasions. Earlier in the season we’d be at least 3 down. Glimpse just before half time of what we need, that one break away goal changes everything. Not sure we can hold out against that pressure again so need to change something out there.
