Yep there's no reason why it couldn't be the Friday morning given that there is only 2 hours between the sale of members with 1 away credit and STH on the Thursday afternoon.

Would be surprised if it goes down to all members tho, assuming we've got the Bill Shankly Stand, then they've knocked nearly 1000 tickets off as that stand holds just under 6000.

They haven't put "Only in the event tickets remain" in bold capital letters, so I think the club are expecting it to go to all members. Don't think there'll be be many left though in the all members sale. Hopefully, we'll be able to get some extra tickets from the stand later on and it will be a bit easier.

Only thing I could think of is the processing of Atletico Madrid Auto Cup payments, but surely they'll be done much earlier than 15th October?

Doesn’t make sense why they can’t go to all with previous home cup attendance

This ain’t dropping to general members and if it does it’ll be slim pickings

Because home attendance doesn’t have any bearing on away attendance.

Stand capacity 5933 so what had happened to the other 895 tickets?

First 4 or 5 rows will be covered and not used, I would imagine.

Yep, looking at this it looks like you lose at least 5 rows in that stand when a large away following takes the whole stand.

£24 a ticket is a disgrace for this stage of the cup. Shouldn’t be more than £15-£20 regardless of opposition.

And what is the point of that?  Seats are there to be sat on (pre match and at half time). Why would a Championship team given a big pay day want to lose out on income?  Assume they will be doing this all round the ground so maybe only 19000 out of a 23000 capacity?  Makes no sense.  Some sort of weird Covid strategy to keep fans back from the pitch?

I thought they assumed away fans are all hooligans and would get riled up and throw things on the pitch at a League Cup game

Ahh your right. Overlooked that. We have been invading the pitch and throwing things on the pitch against lower league opposition since ……….Surprised we have an allocation at all.

They only seem to do it when an away team takes the whole stand. Maybe in the past they’ve had a bit of trouble, or it’s on police advice when there’s over 5000 away fans? Either way it seems daft when it’s not a local rival such as Blackpool or Burnley. They’re losing out on selling another 700 tickets, most clubs would welcome that additional income in the current climate.

We only got like 60 tickets more for the FA Cup game years back and the front rows weren't cut off then so hopefully similar this time. Leeds and City had it just before covid and I don't remember it happening then either but not sure what the exact allocations were for them.

Can't beat an easy first sale, thought they might put a queue on as it was only for 2 from 6 credits but nice and simple anyway.

All away games are like that on the first sale, because its guaranteed.

And people generally aren't too bothered what seats they get at aways, so they only load up one device, rather than 24.
