A lot of differences between us now and Newcastle then. I can't imagine Jürgen letting a new signing upsetting a team.

Not sure we should expect too much from him for the rest of the season. It always takes a while for players from other clubs to get used to Klopp's ways and its going to be a big jump in standards from the Austrian league no matter how good he is.

Absolutely. He's cover as far as I'm concerned, even behind Shaqiri until/less he proves himself. I'm excited about him (especially since if we believe reports, our own players are excited about him) but for such a piddling fee there's no pressure. And the aforementioned marketing benefits are pretty fantastic. A Japanese friend of mine had a business trip to London last year and flew to Dusseldorf for an afternoon just to watch Takashi Usami play. I'd hate to think about this transfer too much in financial terms, but they can't be ignored.

Won't believe it until he's on the pitch and making his debut after the Fekir debacle. Far too early to rejoice.

I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

I wouldn't expect too much initially as the likes of Fabinho, Robbo and Keita took time to get up to speed. However, to me, this guy looks like he has it all and I can't wait to see Bobby back heel to Mini-me to backheel back to Bobby to backheel and nutmeg the keeper.

It will probably the classic Klopp bed-in, which is in itself a modernized version of what we used to do. Give the player several months to learn the system and adapt. We did with it Ox, Robertson etc.
