Premier League picks imminent then

they're not doing them tonight for some reason.

personally I think that's a good thing. the world championship final should be about the world champion

Not doing as thinking about money.

It will all be about the venues.

They will leave it until they know what’s happening with the Covid situation

I'd feel particularly sad for Smith if he wasn't a manc. :P

Well done to Wright, a very likeable character.

Yeah, forgot about that. I guess they're waiting to see what rules will be like in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

The look on Smith's face when Wright hit that 81 finish (15,16, Bull) when 6-5 to Wright.  He knew he'd lost it then.  Wright was superb those last couple of sets.

Smiths scoring in the middle sets was phenominal, but as soon as he lost the 180, he seemed to lose the game.  Too many scores of 57 etc

The World Seniors Dart Championship also starts tonight and runs through to Sunday.  It's on BT Sport and BBC I-Player.

The first round games are below and the likes of Phil Taylor, Martin Adams, John Lowe and John Part enter from round two which starts on Friday night.  I'm not sure what the quality of darts will be like but it will definitely be interesting to see some of the big names of the past competing.

Thursday’s schedule (1900-2300 GMT)

Robert Thornton (Sco) v Bob Anderson (Eng)
Peter Manley (Eng) v Deta Hedman (Jam)
Tony O'Shea (Eng) v Kevin Painter (Eng)
Daryl Fitton (Eng) v Richie Howson (Eng)

Friday’s schedule (1300-1700 GMT)

Les Wallace (Sco) v John Walton (Eng)
Paul Lim (Sin) v Dave Prins (Eng)
Alan Warriner-Little (Eng) v Larry Butler (US)
Terry Jenkins (Eng) v Roland Scholten (Ned)

World Senior Championship is on iplayer at the moment.

Bob Anderson lost to Robert Thornton, Peter Manley and Kevin Painter won. Manley has to play Taylor next.

John Lowe, Deller and Les Wallace are in it tomorrow.

I like Peter Wright but he is one of the worst for this.  There is no way he's playing shite while averaging 113.  it really annoys me with my 40 average playing in the pub  ;D

Yeah, it's been great to watch some of the old timers - back at the Circus Tavern too!

I remember when the World Champs was held there, probably the best atmosphere I've ever heard.  Brings back good memories.  I understand why the PDC moved to Ally Pally (money, bigger venue etc.), but the atmosphere has turned to shite since.

Thornton looked in good form.

the problem with the seniors is that once you get over the initial novelty a best of 5 set game can go on a bit.

different score graphic today, including averages. could be dangerous

Agree with this, moving the World Championship there made darts accessible to a lot of people who wasn't really interested in it. No comparison to that and the Circus Tavern.
