That was a great and necessary chat. Neil's completely right in my book. He should've brought up the fact that centre mid wasn't even Gerrard's best position either, just one that people of a certain vintage assume is the most mature or important role on the pitch.

This all day. There was another interview (Ballague?) who asked Trent where he preferred to play and he said on the wing. In our setup, the midfield is about solidity and discipline. The fullbacks are where all the fun and creativity happens.

Loved today's show just didn't like that no-one queried Paul Seniors point that City should have had a pen.

It was his opinion. There were others.

It was his opinion. There were others.

Just felt he said it and apart from Robbo not getting why Silva's handball is ignored- no one said anything about it.

Fine for them to have opinions just thought someone could have challenged it that's all

Desperate for the monday show. I've pretty much completed Liverpool content on the internet now and neeeeeed my fix.

Was worth the (self-inflicted) wait. Great show. Shame Neil's away (?) around this period, clear how much he's been targetting this game and would have enjoyed hearing his inputs on the main show or review.

Hope they rattle through the questions a la AFQ Friday, rather than spending ages on just a few when it becomes just like wildcards.

Enjoyed AFQ, but very disappointed with the lack of knowledge of old school half times. Carra was spot on, 10 mins.

3 Oclocks would finish just after 4.40 and the 7.30's in midweek would be done just after 10 past 9.

I enjoyed Carra talking freely like he would do sat around a table with his mates and enjoying the pisstaking.

So Neil has not been in the ground for either Barcelona or Man City, two of our biggest recent home wins.  I know he’s already given up his thumbs for the title but, knowing how superstitious he is, he might have to take another one for the team at some point later this season!!  :P ;D

It's a debate I'm glad I didn't have to hear to be honest. There was enough debate about it on the television coverage to come to the conclusion that some people thought it was a penalty and some didn't.

The debate around the penalty (elsewhere, I mean, not on TAW) is mainly a load of lads getting themselves into a massive confusion about the laws. The referee saw the the incident deemed it be accidental hitting his arm in a normal position, VAR backed it up (as frankly you would expect, they rarely ever contradict the ref, and the refs don't check monitors for themselves)... and that's it.

Thought the European show with Rebecca Knight and Mo Stewart was very good. They both obviously know European football a fair bit but having an expert journalist (and very good ones as well) join them to discuss Serie A, La Liga and Bundesliga really added to it and made it feel like a proper, big hitter of a show with a significant depth of knowledge.

Hope these continue over the next few months.

So I got sent an email from them today or this week (they email every day, which is a bit much) but this took the piss. They said click the link to join the contest to win the signed Milner book. When I click the link its to the FSA awards voting. Bit wank that.
