Stuart Holden and John Strong have been good when I listened to them.

Scott, Zabaleta, and Bilic are great shouts.

Picked Bilic, Roy Keane and Lampard. Lampard actually surprised me with his level headed and honest options. Keane, i like him mainly fo his opinions about Utd :D

Rosenior and Bellamy are hands down the best pundits around at the moment. Talk more sense than all the rest put together. Went for Jim Beglin for the third option, think he's alright.

Himself and Bellamy were shining lights on that show last year. Not mind blowing insight but he could probably be better as a coach than a footballer.

I actually voted for him and Bellamy and they got a grand total of 6 votes together. People should give them a look, they've had a few good discussions without all the agenda driven cliche bullshit that's usually served up for that station.

Impressed with Alex Scott. She was good at the World Cup aswell. Surprised MOTD didn't try and recruit her instead of the normal morons they have on. Clearly knows her stuff, although I think it'll take some getting used to for Souness, considering how old school he is.

Watched the game on NBC today, and I've always liked Arlo White. He's probably the best "main commentator" I regularly have to listen to. His American co-commentator wasn't bad either, Kyle Martino.

Come to think of it, I like American pundits/commentators in general. They have genuine enthusiasm for the game and can often be quite thoughtful, albeit quite cheesy in the way Americans often are.

Listening to Five Live on the way home from Leicester yesterday, fuck me Danny Mills is a miserable twat. On and on about Alisson and how a defender would be dropped next game if he did something like that.

Also came out with something about a pigeon on the pitch during the Chelsea commentary game and said he'd asked what would happen if the ball hit it and went in the goal...went on to say that of course it would be disallowed "just like the beach ball goal was disallowed for Sunderland when they played Liverpool" - I was shouting at my radio like a right idiot!

Agreed, Jimbo is boss.

Was always amazed that he never got an offer from Sky to present one of their football shows before he turned up on BT. Or maybe he did and told them to go and get fucked. If he did, I'd love him even more.

Not great choices them

I went for Alex Scott, Peter Drury and Zabaleta

I was impressed with how well Alex Scott talks about football. She also doesn't come across like a egotistical twat.

I like Drury as a commentator although he's not the greatest. And Zabaleta seem a fair and knowledgeable.

I could probably pick fault with all the other options though.

Of the ones listed Peter Drury is my favourite and Ally McCoist is good, too. But I quite like Ian Darke and Darren Fletcher both at BT who aren't listed.

The worst commentator I've ever heard in my life is that Ray Hudson. It makes La Liga games hard to watch when I stream them with him.

He seems a decent bloke. No sly little digs or pops at managers or players. Just don't think he has a great voice for football commentary.

Absolutely agree with this. Don't get me wrong, I prefer an enthusiastic commentator over a boring dullard, but it's not pleasant listening to him screaming down the mic any time a half decent opportunity arises in the game. Also doesn't help that I simply don't like his cadence.
