Law averages, non-existent as it may be, suggests that Coutinho will be due some direct goal involvements in his next game after such a drought. Form is temporary, class permanent. Coutinho has always been one of my favourite players, whatever I may have said about him in the past.

I also think Gerrard is an astute football manager too, the perfect man to inspire Phil to perform before the summer break. It should help that Awful Coufal doesn't play for Villa.

Clayton Bigsby:
Fabolous finish but it wasn't to be. Imagine if they had held out. He looks chunkier than I remember him being for us
