Will they reduce capacity on the soccerbus or just put more on?

I just dont see why people feel entitled to free tests to go to events when they're refusing a vaccine

By all means allow a test as a method of entry, but dont make it free for them

I am talking about every body, fyi, regardless of whether they've had a vaccine. This is what the Lib Dems and Labour have done in questioning the passport plans too.

Service buses are running at normal but they ask you to wear a mask. But seats no longer spaced out

Fully vaccinated so back to normal.

However, I will probably wear a mask on the concourse, but not in the stands.

Only had one of my jabs so far, but I'll go back to sharing my ticket with my da and wear my mask on the concourse + entry. I'll probably take it off when I sit down (unless the guy who sits behind me and has health issues is still attending).
Pretty happy with Arse taking it.

Disappointing.

Premier League fans will face random spot-checks of their Covid-19 status at grounds in the first few matchdays of the season, the league says.

The top flight announced protocols for the new season, saying fans must be prepared to prove they are fully vaccinated or have had a negative lateral flow test in the last 48 hours.

So remember to have your NHS app with your vaccination certification or do a Lateral Flow Test before the game. Takes no time to look after yourself, your fam and other fans.

You don’t need the app or a lateral flow test, the NHS Covid Pass letter will suffice. So easy to get and free of charge, it’s a complete no brainer not to get 1 imo. Also covers your arse if your phone fucks up/battery dies etc.

Great shout Andy, we all know the data signal round Anfield near the ground isn't the best, so trying to login into the NHS App near the ground could lead to even more delays

Someone in Upper Annie (block 227, row 4, seat 177) tested positive today. I’d imagine they picked it up a couple days before the game but FYI if you were there maybe just do a test tomorrow and Tuesday for your safety.

I’ve not been anywhere really other than football and feel a bit of a head cold today, but probably too early to be showing symptoms for Covid. Kinda forgot how packed the Kop gets, definitely took a few moments to re-adjust. Did wear a mask the whole game though, will see how it is over the season.

Tempted to maybe sit in the Main Stand this season to be honest. Not fussed if I get it, but just Family / the community.

I had my contact tracing app running all game in the lower Kenny. Mostly to see if it goes off. I'm double vaccinated and can get tested at work if I need to so not worried.

In terms of the actual experience. It was easily the biggest crowd of people I have been around since the pandemic. But it didn't really bother me all that much.

Mask use was pretty non existent throughout. The new NFC tickets worked fine for everyone I spoke to around me and I was back to being pissed off at everyone trying to get past me to get to their seat down the row :P.

Time will tell if it was too much too soon in terms of reopening everything but nice to get to see the reds live again

I've been to both home games so far and pretty much thought the same thing. I literally didn't see a single person using masks or the hand gels in either the Anny Road Upper or Main Stands. I remember thinking, if I don't get Covid after the last 8 days then it really is over : )

Sure enough I came down with symptoms yesterday and have tested positive today. Could well have got it from elsewhere but given that nobody else I have been with on other days has come down with it, it's probably likely I picked it up at the match. Thankfully I'll be out of isolation for Palace.

I'm sure we'll see further spikes in the coming weeks/months as big events pick back up again, It's inevitable.

I think the average for delta symptoms to start showing are about four days but could be earlier, so unless you're not doing much else it may be from elsewhere too.

i've stuck to fully wearing a mask inside the stadium and avoiding the concourse at half time to be honest. only really take it off when crowds start dissipating away from the stadium. i've never really been that fussed for pre/post-match drinks or socialising beyond my immediate group really so i'm probably not too exposed anyway.

maybe it's cos i'm not hanging around the concourse, but i still haven't seen any hand sanitising stations - would be great if they were parked right next to each blocks' stairs

Some of the taps weren't even working in the Kop toilets I used the other week!

tbf the first game I did think it was possibly a little pointless in 207 as there were so many people closely packed, so i can imagine some just decide to give in after a while.

Just been 'pinged' by the NHS Covid app that I've been "near to someone" who has tested positive'. But no need to isolate due to fully vaccinated & no symptoms.
As we don't use it on the Isle of Man, it's got to have come from being near to someone at Anfield on Saturday. Would be nice to know just how close though!

Same, here, it has to be the match for me as i did nothing in th days before or immediately after the game. Despite having had both jabs I've got symptoms, just like a really bad head cold, but have quite bad dizziness too.
We're bound to see a big spike around sporting events but probably football in particular, just with the way crowds congregate and are packed together both in the stands and in the concourse area.

There were hand sanitisers in most places in both Anny Upper on Sat and the Main stand last week, just people didn't seem to be using them from what I could see. Literally spotted single numbers of people with a mask too, although if nobody else is wearing one then I can understand why people just think 'fuck it, why should I?". A mask only every really protects others so if other people aren't arsed, then why should you wear one. I can see why this attitude would spread throughout a stadium quite rapidly.

I would be very surprised if we don't see a reduction in crowds imposed at sporting events before the season is over, they could be super spreader events.
