It seems a lot less useable than the last version of the site!!

I'd agree with that.

It looks too busy :-\

Where can you bring up the ticket history page????

Can't see a direct link to it anymore. But you can get to it by going to a game on sale and clicking 'buy online', this takes you to the online ticketing area which looks like it hasn't changed much.

Or bookmark this link

I reckon it's alright, love the new feature that allows you to view the pitch from any stand or block in the stadium. The team selector tool looks interesting.

Although, it does looks like a site I made in IT lessons when I was in year 7.

We had some reports of problems with this earlier. It's been logged with the site developers but tive it a few tries and maybe refresh the page. Might do the trick.
Well, I don't know what it is, but there's definitely something going on upstairs

Why do any of you lot even VISIT other teams websites? I can safely say I've never even entered their web address into my browser...

Rafa wanted to get the guy who designed it to do ours but the deal stalled in the middle of negotiations and City swooped in with a better deal.

Man City has got zero adverts on it - as they don't have to make money.

Anyone's website could look great if all adverts / commercial messages were stripped off the homepage.

The amount of advertising is obscene and disgusting.

The new player profiles only include league appearances and goals, which is just wrong.

Why the seating plan comes under Tickets and not Stadium is beyond me.

Generally, the homepage looks cluttered and unprofessional. The extensive use of flash does not cover this up. It looks unorganised and hard to navigate, although the previous website was similar.

Conclusion: Not an improvement, a complete waste of the idiot designer and programmer's time and money.
So where does Dalglish rank on a wider scale? In football history? Well, there's Maradona, who is another in a category of one. After Maradona comes a group - Pele, Cruyff, Beckenbauer. In global terms, Dalglish is in the rank below. Briefly - between the decline of Cruyff and the emergence of Maradona - the Scot was the best player in the world.

The new site was introduced server by server, hence some of you getting new then old. It should all be new now though. Thanks for the comments, I'll pass them on to the development team.

As a Graphic Designer, I fucking detest comments like this. Everyone's work is out there for public consumption, and not sure the designer is the 'idiot' here mate. Why are they 'idiots'? Would love to see some constructive criticism rather than savage dismisal of a job that isn't half as bad as you're making out.

The seating plan is under 'tickets' because when you book your tickets, you choose your seats. It's like that on EVERY venue's website ...  ::)

Really unless you had bought tickets though you wouldn't be after the seating plan. It's always been under tickets and is on the majority of other team websites

If you, as a graphic designer, had designed that monstosity, I doubt you'd be proud of it. I don't know why you feel the need to defend fellow designers. Idiot may be savage, but I seriously don't rate the new look - so I speak as I find.

Alright chill out mate, no need to get overtly offensive. I don't like the site - with the money and creative freedom held, they could and should have done a far, far better job. Thats the extent of what I'm saying. If their actions are idiotic and thus makes them idots in this instance, then so be it. I don't think I'm alone in my criticism either. I think the new website is foul, distasteful, and a backward step (even if it appears, through the use of flash, that it's modern and new). They released Beta versions of this several times and a few times I raised my criticisms, as did others. Each time they released a new Beta, did they change anything? Barely. Nothing noticeable anyway.

With all this time and money invested, the supporters, me included who pay 50 odd quid a year for the E-season ticket, where the costs of the webstie are covered, should be getting a lot better than what they've delivered. Obviously they can't satisfy all, but I think it's really bad.

That is all.

I wasn't offensive to you, unless you are that designer. If so, you are justified. If not, you're just looking for an argument where there isn't one.

No, I was looking for a decent constructive criticism, which you have now given. Saying the designer is an 'idiot' when someone has asked for feedback, isn't going to make them change anything for your benefit really is it? More than likely, they'll just dismiss you're critique instantly.

No I'm not the designer, but if I was I wouldn't even draw breath to discuss your opinion after the 'idiot' stuff truth be told.

Well, it was an off-the-cuff comment. Call it immature if you will. I don't think it's an important issue.

What is important are the concerns raised with regard to the quality of the long-awaited new website.

Tell me, are you happy with it Paul?

Even if so, do you think you could have done a better job?

I'm not a web designer, I work in print mainly, but as a user, I don't see what's wrong with it? I don't think it's cluttered. I would move NEWS to under the main flash news section, and not start with THE KOP on the left under the main flash. That way the NEWS Flash leads into the NEWS section underneath.

The drop downs are easier and clearer to navigate, things like Fixtures easier to follow and look up, and given much more room to breath.

Not sure why people are saying it's cluttered at all. To me, it looks a lot more open than the last site, and easier to flow around.
IMO.
