Weighing pasta is psychopath behavior and I'll die on this hill

unless you're on a strict diet, then fair play

I weigh my pasta. As I do with rice.

Never weighed pasta when making it just for myself in my younger days but as I've got older and there's now 4 of us then I feel I need to weigh before cooking to judge things correctly (main complaint from the kids would be not having enough).
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Weighing pastor? Eh?

Like most red-blooded proper men...I cook by instinct and rarely look at instructions...coz I'm a bloody bloke!

I don’t understand why so many people on shows call jota “Diego Jota”. He’s been here a while now it’s not hard to say his first name correctly.

It’s like people (including a contributor) calling him ‘Yota’. I’m not sure any language pronounces a J as a Y. Happened for years with Jose Mourinho. In which language is it ‘Yose’?

After listening to pretty much every show for years, you pick up phrases that people say all the time. Here are some I can think of:

Lizzy - honest to god
Neil - where are we where are we where are we
Andy - we are where we are

There are others which I currently can’t think of. I’m sure others may have noticed some.

In Dutch you get people called Joris that’s pronounced Yoris. Or Jordi Cruyff was pronounced as Yordi wasn’t he?

Not that Jota’s Dutch.

If anyone hasn't listened to Ben Johnson's agony hour yet, then I highly recommend it. He's definitely my favourite TAW contributor at the moment (sorry Neil/Andy/Robbo).

Also, are there any plans to continue Hotmic commentary after fans return? I get that most of you go to every game, but those like me who don't go anymore and have fully embraced armchair fandom would love it to continue as its far better than the shite served up by BT/Sky etc.

The "footballers are human beings" message is an important one, as it wasn't discussed enough in the media or anywhere else for years. But I feel like TAW  (across various formats) is now peddling the line so often that it's becoming tired or even annoying. It's an important thing to remember, but reminding people of it every week is counter-productive.

Possibly, but you’ve got to allow for broadcasting cadence and style. It’s often a heightened version of real life speak.

Yeah that's fair, but I always just laugh at how often people are 'intrigued' on TAW.

Because I really like the concept of listening to a TAW commentary, but I was frustrated by how poor HotMic was, so I had a little looksee at what other fan media were doing.  Plus you can't move on social media for clips of Goldbridge's schtick.

Although even without looking, YouTube is obviously a better choice.  There are of course other reasons TAW persist with HotMic.

TAW's reaction to the Super League proposal due tomorrow.

I think Neil was asking in the realm of what KitKat's view of TAW/Hotmic relationship is.

Completely ignored by the way.
