Sixth clean sheet in eight, as someone posted it's great to watch a 'boring' win for a change, had enough insane 3-2's and 4-3's these last few years to last a lifetime.

Mo Salah 14 goals, unbelievable!!!

Hendo MOM for me. played great in the first half hour when everyone was half a sleep and continued at a high level till the final whistle. Salah and Bobby very good. Back 4 were all very good again. Much needed confidence boost for Lovren. The Ox lively again in his cameo.

Not a single shot on target for Soton.. 3-0 flattered them.

Shane Long is woeful. Was delighted when I saw he was starting.

Wonderful - and having the luxury to rest a couple of key players for midweek.   :champ

It might have been one of the wankiest, nitpicking refereeing performances for a while but thankfully we didn't let Mike Jones spoil the fun.

Excellent win and a very good performance. Great to win comfortably and that's still just one goal conceded at Anfield in the league this year.

No shots on target shows how well we did too.

Was hoping we'd unleash Solanke there last 15 for one of the front 3.

TAA was excellent.

Just a really professional enjoyable win. Delighted for the boss.

Dominant performance. Soton barely threatened - what, did they even have a shot on target?

Lovren had a good match, actually. Some good tackles there. I think my MOTM is Salah - gotta love him. He's a beast.

Got a nice check to improve your offense in January!  ;)

Looking at how toothless they were today, they should bite our hands off in January.

We are much more calm and patient in the last month, and it shows. You don't always have to create chances. Most of the time you are gifted chances, if the pressing is spot on. Every time the opponent has a corner I wonder if we will score, rather than being afraid of conceding.

That was enjoyable. There was a little period in the second half where Alexander-Arnold was keeping SFC at bay all on his own!

Good game back from Lovren. Klavan involved in the opener!

Delighted we started this coming period with a win.

Loving this more compact style. We still look dangerous going forward but more solid at the back. I thought Klavan was good today.

After the Utd game we all looked at the next three of Huddersfield, West Ham and Southampton, and thought 'ok, 3 wins out of 3 there and we should be in a good position'. Really happy with what we've done!

Salah is boss, what a buy. Counter attacks, tap ins, and now a wonder goal to break a 10-man defence.

Very nice that wasn't it. Back 4 barely had to break sweat they where so comfortble, Mo, Bobby, Sadio, Cout and Gini all so comfortable too and playing well in the process, and able to sub off 3 of our main attacking forces as well. Perfect afternoon.

Perfect afternoon indeed. And you're right about our defence, though I think it's worth saying that it was because the balanced midfield did their bit defensively, and then all of the back four won their battles. They made it look easy, and made it seem like Southampton weren't trying, but our back five worked hard for it, stayed switched on and deserved the clean sheet.

Possibly has something to do with him having played 12 games for us, funnily enough they were comparing how well he had done in 11 games prior to this one.

A terrific performance, probably enjoyed that more than any other this season. What I felt would be a hard fought tense game turned out to be a very enjoyable afternoon, we looked comfortable from the moment Mo curled in the first.
There is only one MOM and that is Mo Salah but a number of others impressed , Trent , Albi, Coutinho, Winjaldum and Mane especially. Well happy with that and hopefuly Southampton supporters get back in their box and forget about this so called rivalry they've made up.

Never in doubt after Mo scored his second,Southampton offered little going forward and Lovren in particular played well at the back.

They were working hard and were organized defending with little dirty tricks like shirt pulls all over the park which kept the score down, but still it was one of the easiest games we've had all season.  :)
